[Salam]

First of all, lemme introduce myself.

My name is Gita Pramoedya Sastri. Im currently in the 5th Semester of Management.

In here, I would like to explain about ERP SAP that I’ve learnt before.

[ERP]

So, yeah, we have to understand the definition of ERP. What is ERP?

ERP stands for enterprise resource planning, companies have relied on it since the 90s to
streamline processes and improve data visibility around finance, project management, and
manufacturing. However the cost of ownership began to climb significantly.

ERP evolved to embrace the Internet with new features and functionality.

ERP System offers an affordable alternative for ERP because it eliminates the need for software
and hardware or additional IT staff.

ERP enables organizations of all sizes and across all industries to make significant cost savings,
improve business insight, enhance(enhens) collaboration, and increase efficiency.

[SAP]

carry out integration or connect into a variety of very complex corporate problems. ERP SAP
will help to reduce misunderstanding between departments. or we known as SILO effect. SILO
effect is a phrase that is popular in the business and organizational communities to describe a
lack of communication and common goals between departments in an organization.

[System Wide Concept]

So, this is a system wide concept.

There are the basic element:

1. Organizational elements
2. Master data
3. Transactions

Let me explain one by one.

1. Organizational elements
(Is more like company structure in SAP application), There are:
● Client, client is the highest level element of all organization elements, it
represents the headquarter group.
● Company code, is a legal independent accounting unit representing the central
organizational element of financial accounting.
● Plant, a plant can manufacture product, distribute product, or provide a service. It
is the central organizational unit of production.
● Storage location, material stocks in inventory can be differentiated within one
plant according to storage location.
● Sales organization, the central organizational element in sales order that controls
the terms of sale to the customer.
● Distribution channel, can be used to define how different products reach
consumers.
● Organizational unit, the various business units that exist in an enterprise. For
example functional or regional departments.
● Positions, the individual employee assignments in the enterprise.

Next, Master data

2. Master data, is created centrally and available to all applications and all authorized users.
Maser data also has an organizational aspect because its information is organized into
views that are assigned to organizational elements. The three-part structure of master
records makes it possible to flexibly (fleksebli) depict the various organizational
structures of an operation.
The three-part structure is represented by:
- General data
- Data for company
- Data for sales

The last basic element is

3. Transactions, are application programs that executed business processes in SAP system.
Whenever a transaction is executed in the system, a document is created.

So, this is the end of the explanation ERP SAP. Thankyou for your attention.
