Exit Entry
Reasons:
 We’ve chosen to keep produce in the middle since a customer coming in for monthly usage will look to
buy essentials like produce the first. This way the customer gets in the overview of the store very quickly.
 The bakery which is the next item and the one a customer thinks of kept on the corner. This will ensure
that the customer gives a good amount of time between to other products and might be subconsciously
induced to buy them.
 The dairy which is a compliment to bakery and the next in line of purchase is kept on the other corner. It’s
in the same line so that the customer doesn’t feel disgruntled yet travels through enough shelves in the
middle to gaze at other products on offer at the store.
 The meat and poultry is placed near the exit since the customer usually buys it the last rather than
roaming with it in the store.
 The biscuits are placed near the bakery and in the food section. Some small packets of biscuits will also
be placed near the counters to get in some impulse buys. Customers waiting in line may look at them and
feel the likeliness of purchasing some small packets.
 The beverages are kept in the smaller shelves all over spread out so that a customer looks at it and
makes the purchase decisions.
 Deodorants and personal care are at shelves for customers looking to specifically buy them and they are
near the billing counters as well so that people who forget or don’t come with an intention of buying them
specifically also buy them.
 Washrooms is at one corner near the entry so that a customer going to washroom in the middle of
shopping has to come back and look at other products on offer. Note that the washroom is near the entry
but not very near to make the customers give a bad feel upon entry and deodorants along with their
testers and good fragrance are kept near to give a better aromatic experience.
 Billing counters are kept alternating with products that a customer can buy.
 The shelve allotment is based on the weekly units mentioned.
