LANGUAGE LEARNING

LANGUAGE ACQUISTION :
-Language acquisition is a subconcious process and it occurs without
any formal instruction .
-In order to acquire a language ,the learner need a source of natural
communication .
-Mother tongue is acquired through interaction and the environment
that surrounds the learner.
-Language Acquisition hinges on the aptitude of the speaker .It
doesn't evoke any specific attempt at hand .
-Language acquisition enthralled on oral and it is a natural process
which cannot be avoided
-Factors that affect language acquisition are age and sex ,intelligence
and concentration and curiosity,LAD and brain maturity .

LANGUAGE LEARNING:

-Language learning is a concious process,that require extensive use of


concious grammatical rule.
-Language learning occurs in formal situations and specific set of
strategies are used such as retrieval strategies ,rehearsal strategies
,cognitive strategies and metacognitive strategies.
- To learn a language is to learn its dialect ,along with the semantic
structure of that language.
-Language learning comprises of correction whereas language
aquistion takes place through imitation .
-Language learning takes place in the form of externalized actions
which require deliberate action of memorisation and learning .
-Language learning comprises of written dynamic as compared to
language acquisition .
