What I Have Learned

Activity 4: Synthesizing Answer the questions briefly

1. How important is traditional art?

Traditional art is what we called the “art of the past” that brought us right now called the contemporary
art. It is importance because without the traditional art, we don’t have the contemporary art right now.
It is also importance to represent the culture of the people. It can express their gratitude, feelings, and
respect towards their ancestors or their culture through in traditional art.

2. How would you promote traditional art to your friends and family?

In order to promote the traditional art to my friends and family, I can show them a documentary found
in internet to show them. I can show them a different kind of pictures of traditional art in internet. With
the advance of technology, I can easily introduce them by using an internet showing a various of
traditional art. I can also tour them in museum art that shows a traditional art, in that way they can
easily remember.

3. What do you think is the important role traditional art to contemporary period?

The role of the traditional art to contemporary period is that traditional art serves as the basis of the
structure. Traditional art serves as the model towards to contemporary period in that way the present
period can develop their art by looking their previous arts made by generation to generation. Traditional
art can give a motivation for the future artist to continue their art, enhance the art and creating a
something new from the traditional art and that’s how important role of traditional art to contemporary
period.

What I Have Learned

Activity 5: Wrap up (The teacher will make a rubric as a tool for scoring)

In this lesson I have learned: a lot of arts forms from different regions or non – traditional art. I learned
different kinds ethnic dances, Filipino music genres, Theater, Visual Arts, Literature, Film and Broadcast
arts, and Architecture. These are the non – traditional art found in the Philippines in different regions.

What I Can Do

Activity 5: Reflection (Teacher will make a rubric as a tool for scoring) If you will be a director of a film, a
writer of a life story, a camera man, a designer and an engineer.

1. How will you write and direct your own life story?

As the director of my own life, I would like to write my story in a unique way. I would like to write my
own life story to be a successful in the future, to live in a fullest life and to obtain my happiness. In order
to achieve that story, I need to direct my own story by maintaining my academics, applying in a college
and study hard and work hard. Not dwelling in a bad stuff. And after that I will find a job and make a
money. I will direct my own life story in a good path.

2. How will you design and build your future?

In order to have my desire future, I can design and build my future by exploring to my character traits,
strength and weakness. By that I can know what are the ingredients that I need to build my future. I can
also design my future by knowing my preference, my goal, and my dream.

3. As a millennial and a photographer as well, at what angle of your life you need to focus? Why?
As a millennial and a photographer, I need to focus on developing my character it is because this is not
what my character wanted to be. I want to focus on developing not just my physical but also my mental.
I want to improve my character and upgrade to be who I am wanted to be. Another angle I need to
focus is my study and career because I am already in age where I need to take a serious of my life.

What I Have Learned

Activity 4. Application

1. This monument differs from the other, the way it represent the hero, the hero itself and the
surroundings.

2. The relationship of the surrounding space, and other structure represent respect, dignity and a hero.
The space did not dominate, it has a lot of space. It is very careful that the monument is highlighted.

3. The subject depicted as a hero, the facial expression is what I can call a “Kalayaan” he represent our
country, and our flag.

4. The figure is more self contained. As we walk in the sidewalk, we can see the monument as a
braveness, no matter where the angle is.
