PEACE COVENANT SIGNING 2022

Good morning ladies and gentlemen!

This momentum, allow me to acknowledge the presence of our Election

Officer, Mr. Floriano Allas Jr. Sir! To the different repesentatives from
the religious sectors headed by Pastor Ludivico Raranggol, good morning
pastor. Our MLGOO Officer, Mr. Carlito T. Hipolito sir. To all our
candidates present here, our employees from the different
departments, once again a pleasant good morning to one and all.

This activity particularly the recently concluded Walk for Peace is just a
gesture of our willingness in committing ourselves for a sustainable
peace and order in the community and in the entire country in attaining
for a peace, honest and credible conduct of the fast approaching May 9,
2022 National and Local Elections.

The signing of the Integrity Pledge by all political candidates in the

different positions together with witnesseses from the COMELEC, DILG,
MHO, and PNP is our voluntary will and it signifies our whole-hearted
participation and cooperation in condeming possible issues of
irregularities like harassment among and in between candidates,
supporters versus supporters likewise, attacking negative comments or
criticisms against co-candidates which may root into possible conflicts
and hatred among constituents in this municipality of Sanchez Mira,
Cagayan.

The Philippine National Police in this municipality have been always

ready since we have already prepared our comprehensive security plan
in protecting all candidates, supporters most especially the voters since
the start of the simultaneous conduct on the establishment of the
COMELEC/PNP checkpoint way back January 9 this year. The ultimate
goal of the Philippine National Police is to help the COMELEC in
implementing their resolutions and orders for the smooth conduct of
this National and Local Elections. To give every voter their rights of
suffrage, exercising their sole privilege in choosing the best candidates
which they believe can help them especially on the aspect of livelihood,
health services and education of their family members. To give them
freedom to live after election and not to leave fears and hatred in their
hearts. We are in a democratic country, Filipinos have high moral values
and integrity that we want to leave these good virtues among our
siblings and the youth in general.

Furthermore, in bahalf of my Chief of Police __________, this police

force in Sanchez Mira urged all candidates to abide all the rules and
regulations stipulated in the COMELEC Omnibus Election Code to avoid
conflicts and election offenses. A brotherly advice that kindly just focus
in presenting your platforms of government to the electorate and again
refrain in attacking your political opponents during campaign period. I
would also like to emphasize that your participation in the conduct of
this Unity Walk and the Peace Covenant Signing of the Integrity Pledge is
just a one step in attaining the goal for honest and peaceful election. We
deeply appreciate your efforts especially the COMELEC, the
representative from the different religious sectors, the NGOs, academe,
business sectors and other agencies in participating actively for the
realization of this activity.

Lastly, I just want you to remember this passage because anybody who
will be luckily elected must leave the spirit of admiration and being loved
by his or her constituents. They say, that WITH GREAT POWER COMES
GREAT RESPONSIBILITY with has a simple meaning that, if you have the
ability to do something, make sure that you do it for the good of others.
