Facilitators Training

As the YOOCA Organization strive to get the most out of the scholar's current talent and
build the next generation of talent, it is becoming increasingly important to have outstanding
facilitators who can help them excel in their current assignments while also being prepared for
future opportunities. The Facilitators Training provides people who are responsible for
delivering training or instruction with the tools and strategies they need to engage learners and
maximize the effectiveness of their training programs. It is the ideal solution for the Service
Scholars in the organization who is involved in facilitating training and instruction and needs to
have advanced facilitation skills. The learning experience offered in Facilitation Skills for
Trainers focuses on improving a facilitator’s ability to evaluate participants’ training needs,
engage learners, introduce concepts and skills, support people in the development of critical
skillets, and assist their participants with creating application plans that will ultimately lead to
greater success on the job. Additionally, this workshop builds on the facilitator’s current
presentation skills and explores how they might design their presentations to be more dynamic,
interactive, relevant, and practical for their activities.

Last December 28, 2018 the Facilitators training was conducted at Lucidel restaurant,
Laguna . The program started with a Doxology followed by the introduction of the Masters of
the Ceremonies and an Ice breaker to energize the participants. The speaker of the training was
also a social worker of the St. Vincent Foundation. The speaker started her lecture with a game
activity. To achieve the goal of the game the participants must strategize, cooperate and show
their unity. This game was a part of the discussion where it reflects in the real situation of
facilitating an activity. The speaker also pointed out the attitudes that a facilitator should have
for a good leadership and flow of the event.

Moreover the training ended with a closing remarks of our Sub- Project coordinator, Ms.
Melody Del Rosario. In addition Ma'am Del Rosario differentiate a facilitator and a manager
which tells that if you are a facilitator you must work with your team and not just command
them what to do. As a result may all the participants of this Facilitators training, may apply their
learnings in the future activities that they will be conducting.
