RESEARCH AGREEMENT FLOW CHART

*The signing on behalf of UPM is the
Vice Chancellor / Deputy Vice
Chancellor. If the PTJ / UPM
researcher signs the agreement itself,
the PTJ / UPM researcher is
responsible for the terms and
obligation of the agreement.
The research agreement consists;
1) Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
2) Memorandum of Agreement (MoA)
3) Letter of Agreement (LoA)
4) Material Transfer Agreement (MTA)

RMC checks the relevant minutes and if passed
at JPU (according to Category from the approval

PPUU prints a celan copy of agreement and
13 send to Vice Chancellor Office for signature and 5 working days
PPUU take the agreement after its signing.
RMC takes the agreement at PPUU Office which
have been signed by Vice Chancellor and
14 manages the process of getting a signature of 5 working days
the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research &
Innovation) at TNCPI Office (if any).
PTJ / UPM researcher manages the process to get signature from external party,

binding agreements and stamp duty.
RMC sends one (1) copy of agreement with stamp duty and LPU’s endorsement
16 paperwork to PPUU Office.
PPUU sends the endorsement paperwork with signing agreement to the secretariat of
17
the LPU meeting.
18 LPU ENDORSEMENT
PPUU records the details of agreement after the minutes of LPU out:
a. the date of signing agreement;
19 b. the effective date of agreement; and
c. the end date of agreement.
PTJ and RMC manage and monitor the operation of agreement and inform the PPUU in
20
the event of conflict of laws regarding the agreement.
