Waste Management

Administration
Planning and information campaign about waste recycling
 Identify the waste our factory creates.
 Run a waste audit to figure out what waste are facility generates, what volumes
of those waste it produces and what department produces the most ways.
 Establish a capable waste management team.
 Select responsible employees perhaps from our existing management team to
take charge of our waste management program.
 Appoint one person as the waste management coordinator and choose several
team members.
Collection (Waste segregation)
Waste storage room in place
 Keep waste in a secure area.
 Store trade waste in containers that will prevent waste from escaping.
 Label waste containers clearly to indicate the type of waste they contain.
 Use waterproof containers if rain can cause waste to leak contaminated run-off.
Disposal
Efficient waste logistics
 Select waste management partners that will collect and dispose waste products
 In advance of the collection time, the refuse is brought in containers and placed
on the footway from where it is collected by the waste collection agency.
Segmentation
Mindful segregation into glass, plastic, organic, paper, metal and e-waste
 Industrial wastes like glass, plastic, and paper are recyclable. As such, our
company should segregate this waste from bio-degradable wastes, hazardous
waste, and solid non-hazardous waste. To do this, the factory or company should
identify the recyclable material and the set up a separate waste collection system
for them. This can be done by providing a recycling bin or dumpster at the
factory.
Recycling
Second life of recyclable materials
 After collection, recyclables are sent to a recovery facility to be sorted, cleaned
and processed into materials that can be used in manufacturing. Other
recyclables can be sold.
