AN IDEAL CITY
01 Features & Policies
Organization
Proposal to design cities with organic super blocks –
clusters with every amenity, service & typology,
such that everything is within a 10 min walking
distance.
Aesthetics &
functionality
Consulting an architect even for a minor change in
any space/building typology/project is mandatory.
Economy
A limit on how much land/property can be
bought/owned for every income group of the society
to prevent social dominance.
Economy
Tax paying citizens & low-income groups would have
access to free basic healthcare, education, resources
and other services.
Transportation
No vehicle runs on fuel (crude oil), but run on
electricity. More importance given to public
transport (buses, metros, trains).
Energy
Maximum energy derived from solar and other
renewable energy sources for various activities such
as generation of electricity, cooking, etc.
Water
Refining sea water in-order to make it portable (to
meet daily needs), along with grey water recycling
systems & rain water harvesting in every building.
Agriculture
A policy where farmers can directly sell to
supermarkets or to the consumer, thus eliminating
all middle men which would help them make better
profits.
Safety
Dedicated emergency lanes. (Ambulances, fire
trucks, police vans, evacuation etc).
Smart city
Implementation of smart systems wherever
possible.
Health & well-being
Creating noise buffers wherever needed, having
sufficient green spaces, regular sanitization of cities
& inclusiveness of all income groups in every aspect.
