52 individually decorated rooms and suites, all situated in an awe-inspiring natural setting. Set on nine expansive acres
of world-renowned gardens, this historic and beautiful country escape offers guests far more than just incomparable

Villa Cape-style private Villa situated in the beautiful
Cellars-Hohenort gardens. A selection of fascinating
books – about Nelson Mandela's life – make sure that
it is so much more than just a Villa, it is a part of
South African history.
With its own private courtyard and swimming pool,

The Madiba Villa offers guests a luxurious home away
from home.
The Villa boasts a large open-plan sitting and dining

room with a fireplace, built-in bar, service kitchen and
two or – if need be – three double en-suite bedrooms.
Each bedroom features an en-suite bathroom and walk-
in cupboards. The villa is fully air-conditioned with
under carpet heating throughout and a private driveway.

An elegant dining room and a fully stocked bar work

Honeymoon Suite.
Premier 7 2 74m The Cellars-Hohenort offers seven individually

Suite decorated Premier Suites ranging in décor and design,
from the traditional to the contemporary. Each Premier
Suite is superbly spacious, which makes them ideal for
guests looking for a little extra room.
Select either a one-level or split-level Premier Suite

and enjoy a private walled garden or magnificent
garden views. Both styles of Premier Suite boast a
separate lounge, basic kitchen area, private DSTV,
a beautifully appointed bedroom and a sensational

The Martini Bar and Lounge
The Martini is chic and intimate, perfect for that pre or post dinner drink. You will find a vast choice of mature
French cognacs, aged Scottish malts, cane spirits, grappa and rums alongside ports, liqueurs & cocktails. The Wine
List is a talking point offering some of South Africa’s finest wines.
The Martini is a place where guests and visitors to the hotel can enjoy afternoon tea and possibly an early martini
in this very chic and contemporary environment. At night the space is transformed into a sophisticated place to be
seen, where guests can sample our signature drink, the Martini.
The Conservatory
The Conservatory is the main restaurant at The
Cellars-Hohenort and is located in the Cellars Building.
This stylish Restaurant, which is situated adjacent to
the historic cellar, and carefully built around a giant
300-year-old oak, offers unparalleled garden vistas,
whether you opt for the airy indoors or the sun-
drenched terrace.
Head Chef, Ryan Josten, is creating some hotel classics

alongside some new trendy dishes focused around our
bountiful gardens and local produce.

The Cape Malay Experience

Our gem of a chef, Martha Williams, needs a platform
to show off her talents and we have therefore launched
“The Cape Malay Experience.” The concept is that
groups of 6 - 20 people can book a Cape Malay evening
which will be hosted, explained and served by Martha
and her team. Our Malay restaurant and demonstration
kitchen is now in a cosy private dining area.
This local cuisine restaurant is a unique dining experience

in authentic Cape Malay food, where an exciting choice
of traditional taste treats await you! Spicy, rustic colours
create a pleasant Eastern ambience. Cape Malay cooking
is unique to the Western Cape.
The Greenhouse
The Cellars-Hohenort’s award-winning gastronomic
restaurant, The Greenhouse, expertly showcases Peter
Tempelhoff ’s acclaimed ‘Progressive South African’
cuisine. Here the tasting menu is inspired by the
imagination, a place where anything is possible. The
cuisine evolves and reinvents past classics resulting
in dishes that surprise and leave a lasting impression.
With emphasis placed on local produce and f lavours
the tasting menu, paired with superb wines from the
surrounding wine regions, will impress even the most
seasoned diners. Limited seating, for just 45 people,
ensures that each guest experiences the most intimate
dining affair. This intimate experience coupled with
unforgettable cuisine, where guests find themselves
lingering over every bite of the extra-ordinary, creates a
culinary story unique to The Greenhouse.
Wine Cellar
Book the most Romantic Table in Cape Town for an
intimate dinner or the most unforgettable wedding

D & D Spa
D&D Spa is nestled in the beautiful gardens of The
Cellars-Hohenort. Breathe deeply... Inhale the aromatic
essential oils and allow the D&D Spa to take you away
from all earthly pressures for an hour or two. Embrace
the warmth... indulge your body and your spirit with
revitalising, calming and detoxifying treatments
incorporating aromatherapy oils, nourishing creams and
natural balms.
D & D Hair Salon

You'll find one of the country's leading hair salons, D&D
Hair, Image and Beauty Consultants, at The Cellars-
Hohenort. Manager and Owner, Dima Tsobanopulos, is
renowned and respected in the industry and has earned
herself the reputation of remaining in the forefront of
hair and beauty trends and technology. Dima's highly
skilled and competent staff offers all hair services as well
as specialising in scalp and hair treatments, massage and
image consulting.
The Collection Boutique

The Collection Boutique has a modern and contemporary
design, giving it a fashionable atmosphere with its unique
collection. Whether you forgot to pack something,
are looking for a gift for back home, or simply in the
mood to shop, The Collection Boutique offers an array
of stylish gifts and clothing including jewellery from
Charles Greig and ceramic art from Ardmore.
ACTIVITIES
Ensure that you’re well prepared for your upcoming games at some of South Africa’s finest golf courses, Royal Cape
or Westlake, conveniently located on The Cellars-Hohenort’s doorstep, by practicing your short game on our Gary
Player designed chipping and putting green.
Our asphalt tennis court is located in a picturesque area of our garden.
Swimming Pools
We have 2 swimming pools on
the property. The Hohenort pool
is heated and surrounded by
bougainvillea and our beautiful
vineyard. Our 2nd pool, which
is situated on The Cellars side
of the property, is situated in an
enclosed garden.
