Rain, oh rain!

It’s midnight now,

I’m all alone with myself,

with a pen, a piece of paper.

Though it’s dark, I can feel it’s raining!

It’s pattering.

Some of the species outside there,

dancing with the rhythm of rain.

But unfortunately, I can’t.

Dear sweetheart, time flies so fast.

Few years back, it was all full of colors.

We used to share some of them.

But now, I’m overwhelmed by the dark side of nature.

Oh dear, I’m fine. Don’t worry.

Some people come into this world just to feel

but not to watch.

I’m one of them.

Beauties can only be felt dear, so am I.

Our roads diverged many years ago,

Being a single traveler, sorry

I couldn’t travel both.

The crickets are shouting as loud as they can,

I’m too, can you hear?

Oh rain, damn you depletes everything.

Rain is becoming heavier,

So what! I don’t carry an umbrella at all.

I just want to be drenched,

to just feel the pain.

Oh dear, can I call you by “Rain”?
