INTERPRETATION:
A one-way ANOVA was conducted to evaluate the Strands of the TVLE, ABM, HUMSS/GAS
and STEM students and their Grade Point Average (GPA). There are four strands and the result
based on the Test of Homogeneity of Variances showed that the variance are equal since it has a
Sig. 0.764 which is greater than 0.05. There was a significant difference in GPA in every strand
since the Sig. is .0000 which is less than 0.05. The eta square = 0.53 was computed as follows
(eta square= 1189.429/2257.992= 0.53). Post-hoc comparisons using Bonferroni correction
showed that the mean score for each strand was significant from each strand. TVLE (M=79.97,
SD=3.178) was different from ABM (M=86.10, SD=2.845). In HUMSS/GAS (M=83.47,
SD=3.137) while the STEM having a mean of 88.43, SD=2.967. As indicated by the knowledge
test mean scores and shown in the graph, STEM strand shows higher GPA than the other strands.
