READING: JOB INTERVIEW

FIRST GROUP OF INTERVIEWEES

-Lina: Good morning and welcome to Choco Aja Company. Today you are going to
have a job interview for the position of administrative assistant.
-Tania: For this interview you have to answer a series of questions, please try to be as
sincere and concrete as possible. Let’s start

-Lina:Tell me about yourselves, and why should we hire you?

-Ana: My name is Ana Milena Romero, I’m 28 years old, I count on studies among them
a technician in clothing, I have certificates in microsoft excel and customer service. You
should hire me because, I'm a responsible person who likes to meet her obligations in a
prompt and timely manner.
-Derly: My name is Derly Vanessa Rojas Garrido, I’m 18 years old and I'm study
entrepreneurial management, you should hire me because with my knowledge I can
help the company to grow, I like very much to learn day by day and I am sure that in this
company I will be able to do it.
-Stefania:My name is Stefania Hernández I'm 17 years old, I am a business Manager
that gave me knowledge to perform in the position you offer me. I think that I have all
the necessary knowledge to perform my job correctly. I am an efficient person who is
willing to learn and contribute to the company in anyway I can.

-Tania: What are your expectations from the company?

-Derly: This is a company that can give me a great opportunity to grow as a

professional. For this I want to generate a change with new ideas to be better.
-Stefania: My expectations in this company are to have a good working environment ,
to be honest and transparent in all my actions.
-Ana: expectation of company growth, continuous improvement, expanding productivity
to increase company profits.

- Lina: What would your boss or co-workers say about you?

-Stefania:That I am a strict and a very punctual person, a good leader and that I
contribute with good ideas for the growth of the company or area.
-Ana:I am a responsible person in my duties, that I work very well in a team, that I do
not like to be late and that I comply punctually with the requirements of the company.
- Derly:They would tell that I'm a very friendly and honest person that wants to be a
great manager in this company I'm a person very responsible and I like helping

-Tania:We're done. We'll be calling you later in the next week.

SECOND GROUP OF INTERVIEWEES

-Stefania:Good afternoon today the company Choco Aja is looking for a suitable new
employee with the required skills.
-Derly:Well, what we are looking for is a responsible person with the emotional
intelligence to perform in their position appropriately.
-Ana:Let's start.

-Ana: Tell me about yourselves and what are you like in your job?

-Lina: My name is Lina María Rendón I'm 17 years old I'm a student of entrepreneurial
management at SENA and I can do commercial, and administrative activities. I like
working with respect and kindness in front of the customers, partners and bosses.
Always with the objective of Putting the company's name up.
-Tania:My name is Tania Rodriguez, I am 19 years old, I study technology in
entrepreneurial management at SENA, I have the skills that are required in a person
with a sense of belonging as the company seeks. And at my workplace I am
responsible, honest, respectful of others and myself, organized in what I do and fair in
the decisions I make.

-Derly:Do you prefer to work alone or as a team?

-Tania: From one point of view I prefer to work alone since I can demonstrate my
capabilities and put all my effort into it, however I know how to work as a team both
contributing ideas and listening to them in order to achieve the goal.
- Lina: I prefer work alone, because for me at the moment to do some work I put all my
knowledge and abilities for deliver work with quality but, in case that I have to work in
team I can work very good because I always take into account the opinions of the other
people.

-Stefania:Would you be willing to work overtime?

-Lina: Of course, I would work overtime, because for me is very important to contribute
with the company, if the company needs my work, I will help with my abilities and time,
also for me work overtime will help me to practice and have more experience.
-Tania: Yes, I am a responsible person who fully complies with what is required in a job
and if this means staying longer I will do it because leaving things incomplete is not the
right thing for someone who wants to grow in the company.

-Ana: That’s it, Thank you for your time.

-Derly:We will be calling you throughout the week to let you know if you have moved on
to the next phase or not.
