1. INTRODUCTION
The software to be implemented is on Digital Library Management System. Here there are 2
users. They are The Admin and the receptionist. The first process is the registration of the
users who visits to the library. All the details will be entered in the software. Admin has the
authority to add, delete modify the details of the book that are available. Admin also have
authority to alert the users, before the due date. The user itself has to first register and then
login by some required details asked by the system. If the book is not available, the user
cannot issue the book, whereas, he/she can access online pdf of book only if book is not
available.

1.1 Admin Login

Upload Book and manually put the book in rack.
Login Admin will login in into the system
Upload File Here Administrator will upload number of books into the system database.
This database is a structured database i.e. sorted.
Events Admin can add, update and delete event from the system.
News Admin can add, update and delete News from the system.
Pic Gallery Admin can add, update and delete Picture from the system.

1.2 User Registration Login

Search for Book
• Registration: User will register into the system with its own simple details.
• Login: For login the user will enter the user name and password, if entered
information is correct then the system will redirect to the home page, otherwise it will
show an error message.
• Search for Book After login the user will search for book which he/she required.

Then user will get ranked data from structured database. Then he/she can download the book
and check the result Otherwise he/she will check the no. of copies of the book and status of a
book.

2. System Study

In this section we will discuss about the existing and the newly which is proposed system for
our study both will explain pro and cons of the proposed and existing system.
2.1 Existing System
In Library Management Software’s to handle the entire activity of a library. The student will
find it simple in this digitized system rather than using the manual writing system. The
software consist a database where all the details will be stored secured. The system is
efficient and easy to understand, error less.

Disadvantages:
• Manually difficult to find
• Existing system is time consuming
• can’t identify book location automatically

2.2 Proposed System

In “Library Management Software” is to handle the entire activity of a library. The software
keeps track of all the information about the books in the library, their cost, their complete
details and total number of books available in the Library. The user will find it easy in this
automated system rather than using the manual writing system. The system contains a
database where all the information will be stored safely. The system is user-friendly and error
free.

We are adding new feature in track the book location from the software as well checks the
book is available in website if the book is available then user can easily download the book
and user getting all details about the book.

Advantages:

• Manually difficult to find

• Existing system is time consuming

• Can’t identify book location automatically

3. Methodology

The proper methodology are include the following

System Study
We will study the existing system the working procedure forms and documents used for
information will be study thoroughly to get information about the system.
Analysis
Comprehensive analysis will be performed. The information obtained in system study will be
analysed properly considering the requirements of the users

Logical Design

We will develop a logical design of the analysed information.it will include the logical flow
of data using the database technique (ERD).

Physical Design

The logical design will be converted in to physical design. The tables and data will be
developed in MySQL.

Output Design

In the output design the end user can enter through login account and download the required
books and many other study stuff.

Input Design

In input design, the front end will be design to accept input data from users.it will be user
friendly and will be easy to use.

4. Implementation

The designed planning will be implemented using the following tool.

We use windows 8.1 as an operating system for our project development.

5. Testing

For testing I will develop a proper mechanism. We will try to test our system by using
students and other teachers to find out the errors and then we will evaluate the errors. Result
will be tested again the desire requirement (objective) of the system.

6. Time Frame:
2 Week Study some basic concept of PHP and MySQL.

2 Week Complete the Proposal and documentation

4 Week Analysis and design.

5 Week Physical design in SQL.

4 Week Implementation

3 Weeks Testing and Completion
