More Resilient
Stress is one of the most pressing concerns throughout this health crisis.
It is not so much a matter of developing resilience to stress as it is of
avoiding it in the first place. To be honest with you, I don’t feel at all
stressed over it. I accept that it has happened and that I can do nothing
really about it and have to go with that. I keep my mind and body busy
all the time and don’t lie back thinking about it. I’m too occupied. I am
just thinking how lucky I am. I have my health, a full cupboard, all my
books, and my cat to watch if I have some spare time, and what a delight
they are to pass away comfortably for a half hour or so. Even on my
walks in the park, I spend time feeding the fish there. They are one of the
world's greatest distractions and maybe the cheapest.
2. Deeper Relationship
The COVID-19 pandemic allows me to have more meaningful, deeper
conversations. I feel more connected to my family and the people I am
speaking to. Under normal circumstances, we tend to turn to family and
friends when there’s a sense of urgency or crisis. During the lockdown,
we all have something in common to talk about, which is leading to
reconnections.

3. Enhances empathy
The COVID-19 pandemic put everything to the test-from healthcare to
social distancing. It’s also tested our moral character. Throughout the
lockdown, most of us behaved responsibly by practicing physical
distancing and staying away from crowded places to flatten the curve.
Our actions demonstrate our ability to put the greater good ahead of
personal desires. Our willingness to make small sacrifices, to prioritize
the safety of others before our own comfort.

4. Strengthen my relationship to God


Despite the difficulties we have faced, I am grateful for all the experiences
I had, and I always prayed to him that no matter how difficult life is, I
shouldn’t lose faith in him for his plans is greater than mine.

5. More optimistic
Practicing and being in a state of gratitude makes me feel more
optimistic in life and helps me be more resilient and bounce back from
the struggles. Positive emotions fill in my head and leave no room for
negativities in life.
