(2). WEEP CONTI Variable The Sweep Control adjusts the speed of the sweep from 0.1Hz to S.0Hz. (3)... MODULATION CONTROL: Variable The Random Sweeping Chorus using RMS detection is a unique Rocktron concept. Random Sweeping means that the clock is being modulated by the envelope of the input signal as sensed by the RMS detection circuit. The response of the RMS detection circuit is adjusted to provide the ultimate randomizing chorus effect. The Modulation Control selects clock modulation from Normal Sweep to Random Sweeping. (4)... DEPTH CONTROL: Variable The Depth Contro! adjusts the amount of modulation of the delayed signal (5)... REGENERATION CONTROL: Vartable The Regeneration Control allows regeneration of the output signal with the input signal from 0% to 100%. (6)... DELAY 1/DELAY 6: Switch The Delay 1/Delay 6 Switch selects the delay to be regenerated as either Delay 1 (Sms delay) or Delay 6 (42ms delay). (7)... LAP_ASSIGNMENT SECTION: Switches The Tap Assignment Section is the heart of the Prochorus. The digitally controlled tap switching design allows each Tap to be summed either to the Left, the Right, the Center, or Off. Each Channel indicates its Tap assignment via the 6 segment led meter for that Channel. The Prochorus allows the user 4095 different Tap Assignments. 2 (8)... RIGHT AND LEFT MIX CONTROLS: Variable The Mix Control adjusts the output between the input and the chorused signal for the right and left channels. Full counter-clockwise bypasses all processing. (9)... CLIP LED: The Clip Led indicates +17dB of input signal, and +3 dB of available headroom in the line mode. (10). . CHORUS IN/OUT: Switch The Switch allows In/Out switching of the Prochorus. The switch is bypassed with the use of an optional external footswitch accessible via the rear panel (11)... CHORUS IN/OUT LED: The Led indicates In/Out switching of the Prochorus switch or of an optional external footswitch. (12). . POWER ON/OFF: Switch The Switch provides power On/Off for the unit, NOTE: READ PRECAUTIONS, BASIC OPERATIONS, AND SPECIFICATIONS BEFORE TURNING THE POWER ON. (13). The Led indicates power On/Off. l N in (1)... INPUT JACK. The Input Jack is a standard 1/4" mono jack which accepts input. both in live and instrument mode. Read the Input Specifications to determine the maximum input level. Failure to do so will overdrive the unit and may damage the internal circuitry. (2)... CHORUS IN/OUT FOOTSWITCH JACK: This standard 1/4" mono jack is provided for switching the Prochorus In/Out by the use of an external optional footswitch. The use of the external footswitch renders the front panel In/Out switch non-functional NOTE: THE FOOTSWITCHES ARE OPTIONAL AND MAY BE PURCHASED SEPARATELY AT ANY ROCKTRON DEALER. (3)... RIGHT. The Right and Left Output Jacks consist of two standard 1/4” mono jacks for the Left and Right Outputs. (4), i T IT The Line/Instrument Switch allows for the output to be selected at either Line or Instrument level. Read Specifications and Applications for further information. (5)... POWER CORD: NOTE: VERIFY THAT YOUR AC WALL OUTLET’S VOLTAGE RATING MATCHES THAT OF THE UNIT. This cord ts provided to connect the unit to your AC wall outlet. DO NOT RUN THIS UNIT FROM CAR BATTERIES OR ANY OTHER EXTERNAL POWER SOURCE. CONNECTIONS AND APPLICATIONS Make the appropriate connections as shown below. The basic operation for the Prochorus has been divided into different categories. In order to obtain the best performance from your unit, read and understand each of them. 8 8@ SWEEP: The Rocktron sweep circuit is not the usual sine or triangle wave modulation commonly used in most chorus units. The Prochorus proprietary sweep generates a waveform to produce a smooth pitch shift while the delay time is modulated. This produces a more desirable chorus effect. The Sweep Control adjusts the speed of the sweep from 0.1Hz to 5.0H2. MODULATION: The Prochorus is the first chorus unit to offer RMS controlled random chorusing. This is excellent for realistic doubling effects and departs from the common sweeping chorus effect. The Modulation Control selects clock modulation from normal ‘sweep to random sweeping. Random sweeping means that the clock 1s being modulated by the envelope of the input signal as sensed by the RMS detection circuit. The response of the RMS detection circuit is adjusted to provide the ultimate randomizing chorus effect. DEPTH: The Depth Control adjusts the amount of modulation of the delayed signal. » g The Regeneration Control allows regeneration of the output signal with the input signal from 0% to 100%. The Regeneration Switch selects regeneration of Tap 1 (Sms delay), or Tap 6 (42ms delay). 6 nan 0) 70) ao BONO 0 =e 895339 DELAY TAP ASSIGNMENT: The Tap Assignment section is the heart of the Prochorus. Digitally controlled Tap switching allows each tap to be summed left, right, centered, or off. The Tap assignment is indicated via the 12 segment tap assignment meter. The Tap Assignment section is equipped with POR (Power on Reset). Hitting the tap | switch (located underneath the right and left tap 1 leds) once assigns tap | (Sms) to right channel, as indicated by tap 1 right assign Led. Hitting the switch again assigns it left. Hitting the switch a third and fourth time assigns the tap centered and off respectively. The assignment of the delays will determine the stereo image Produced by the Prochorus. For the widest stereo image, assign the extremes of the delay to different channels. For example: assign delay | to right and delay 2 to left for the widest possible stereo effect. Assigning delays 1 and 2 right and 5 and 6 left also produces a very broad image. Assigning adjacent taps to opposite channels will narrow the stereo imaging. Due to the fact that there are approximately 4095 possible assignments, they can not all be listed here. Thus, it is recommended that the user determine their preferred settings. The Right and Left Mix Controls adjust the output between the input signal and the chorused signal. Full counter-clockwise will not mix any of the processed signal in with the original input signal. JP LED: The Clip Led indicates +17dB of signal level or +3dB of headroom. Oo Fa FOOTSWITCH, The back panel of the Prochorus provides a mono footswitch jack for In/Out switching of the Prochorus. One single function footswitch is needed. Footswitches are optional and can be purchased at your nearest Rocktron Dealer. The front panel In/Out switch is non-functional when the unit is under external footswitch control ANPUT.
