In my own personal opinion, becoming a Christian all boils down to this principle which I will coin as ABC –

A- admit
B – believe
C – confess

ADMIT. This means you acknowledge you are a sinner. Romans 3:23 said “For all have sinned, and come
short of the glory of God.” We all have sinned, and that sin is what separates us from God. According to the
Bible, we aren't required to subscribe to a religious formula or do more good things than bad ones. God gives
His gift of forgiveness freely to all who ask.

BELIEVE. This means you believe that Jesus is God’s Son, that He died for you, and that His death can save
your soul. John 3:16 said “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” To be saved, we must believe that Jesus is Lord
and believe that He died for our sins.

CONFESS. This means that you confess that He is your Lord and Savior. Romans 10:13 said
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” The fact that you call on Jesus’ name is
evidence that you believe in Him. And when you confess your sins to Jesus, you will be cleansed.
By admitting, believing and confessing, you are recommitting your life to Jesus. You also become a Christian
by getting a new heart, and you receive this heart by praying for it.

The 3 Christian virtues I choose are Love, Joy and Peace. These 3 qualities are among the Fruit of the Holy
Spirit as stated in Galatians 5:22-23.
The love mentioned in the verse is unconditional love. It is the kind of love that is only meant to be expressed
and experienced primarily and has no expectation to be given back or rewarded in return. It is unconditional
love that I give for my family.
Joy is the realization of God’s favor and grace in your life. This kind of Joy is not dependent on any material
thing or circumstance. It is the fullness that you can feel that despite the difficult situations, we still have faith
and hope that all things work together for good… that there is still something to be joyous and grateful for in
life. This pandemic did affect so much in my life, but I am still thankful for the special quality time I had with my
family at home.
Peace is about embracing life without conflict. It is the wholeness and harmony we feel with God and others
which makes us feel safe and secure both physically and mentally. This is part of my prayer everyday – not
just for world peace and for each and everyone but for my mind and soul as well.
