FIAS Interface Instruction

The FIAS interface should be installed in the workstation computer. The connection between the workstation and

the PMS server is through TCP/IP. The encoder should be connect to the USB port of the workstation, and make

sure the driver of the encoder is installed.

Step one: Install the driver of the encoder.

1. Don¡t connect the encoder to computer. Open the folder ¡USB Driver¡, and double click the file Setup.

2. Connect the encoder to the computer¡s USB port. Then, in Device Setting, you can see a ¡CP2101 USB to

UART Bridge Controller¡, remember the COM number followed.

Step two: install the FIAS client software

1. Make sure the HTMFHS4.0 has already installed. Open the folder ¡FIAS_Setup¡, and double click the Setup

file.

2. After finish installing the software, copy the file HTMFHS.mdb which already has the room information from the

HTMFHS4.0 to replace the one in the HTFIAS folder.

3. Double click the icon HTFIAS on Start Menu to run the software

4. The first time you run the software, you need to input the IP of the PMS server and the port number that the

PMS server is using for the client.

Now the workstation can receive request from the PMS server for making a room card, and then the encoder will

automatically finish programming the card for the guest.

5. You can change the setting or exit the program by clicking the icon on the right-bottom corner.
