Right from schooling I had the affinity towards physics and chemistry. My love towards
Chemistry further deepened in higher secondary classes and Chemical engineering was the
perfect attraction for me. Perhaps the thing that appealed to me was the curiosity about how
things are designed and built. Through my graduate studies I have come to love chemical
engineering subjects and I want to continue studying them.Such as heat, mass transfer,
thermodynamics and environmental engineering have enjoyed myself learning about the theory
behind chemical engineering. I have also enjoyed the experiences I have had with
experimentation and research. Indeed there is something extremely satisfying about performing
in the labs and analyzing the results in a meaningful way. Although I liked my classes, the
internship program confirmed my interest in chemical engineering and has enhanced my
analytical skills. I have undergone inplant training in,Berger paints and Sudarshan chemicals. My
final year project was named “The study of bacterial influence on concrete and fly ash
concrete”. Plain concrete posseses very low tensile strength, the bacteria helped overcome this
limitation which induced a calcite layer thus improving its compressive strength
Apart from my academics I also have diverse interest in extracurricular activities. I was
appointed as the opposition leader in my school, this role enabled me to build strong
interpersonal skills and further on, being a part of the college placement cell and co coordinating
the events held during technical fest in my department, I was able to understand the importance
of communicating effectively and working with a team.I am also involved in my local
community,by being a part of the rotaract club, I have organized many social and fund raising
activities.
