1. What are the ways to prevent and reduce hazards in water-based activities?

There are countless things to prevent and reduce hazards engaging in

water-based activities. To prevent and reduce the hazards in water activities,the

World Health Organizations suggest a solution. On drowning and injuries, First is

to have instructors to guide us how to swim and second is when we see a sign

forbidding us we must follow because it is also for our safety. On microbial risk,

WHO suggests a proper sewage discharge, proper amount only of chlorine

because when there is too much chlorine it also has a bad effect on our health

lastly to have proper hygiene behavior before and after going to the swimming

pool. To Reduce chemical exposure, the government must monitor and regulate

the industrial waste of the swimming pool.

2. How can one prevent physical injuries and drowning during water-based
activities?

Injuries and drowning may happen anytime and anywhere. The World

Health Organization suggests how to prevent them. Participants, especially the

beginners, should know the basic education or knowledge about preventing

injuries and drowning while in the water. Also they must know how to swim, if

you do not know how to swim ask for help from the instructor or guidance.

Moreover is to read and heed to all warning signs in the pool area. So that we

can prevent injuries and drowning and to enjoy and fun our recreational activity.
