Summary to your Report (Baka sakaling makatulong)

The goodness of God

Nobody ever said having faith would be easy, but it will be worth it and here is why.
 He Knows Better Than We Do. God knows everything we are going through at
this very moment and everything we will go through in the future. ...
 All Things Are Possible With God.
 He Is Worthy of Our Trust.
 He Knows What He Is Doing.

Does the Bible say God is good?

"For the LORD is good; His loving kindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all
generations."

 When we are out of trouble or relieved of pain, we use the expression "God is
good". While some believe that God is a person who provides and takes care of the
Universe, others believe that God is the personification of the positive force in the
world.
 Because the bible says that goodness is in His very core.
Ex 33:18 Moses said, “Please show me your glory.” 19 And he said, “I will make
all
my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name ‘The
LORD.’ And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy
on whom I will show mercy.
 Goodness is central to the heart and glory of God.
Because the beauty of this world makes me believe that
ultimately good not evil created it.
Psalm. 139:14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful
are your works; my soul knows it very well.
 Because many circumstances that have brought pain I have
 seen God redeem and turn to good
 Genesis 50:20 As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good,
to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.
 This is how we repay good for evil, how we forgive, how we move on.
 Because even those situations that I have not seen turned to
 good, God’s track record makes me believe he ultimately will do
 so Rom. 8:26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know
what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with
groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the
mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will
of God. 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for
good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
 Because his goodness and kindness is seen through his people
2Cor. 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of
mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we
may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with
which we ourselves are comforted by God. Because he has consistently
demonstrated his goodness and kindness to me Psa. 31:19 Oh, how abundant is
your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you and worked for
those who take refuge in you, in the sight of the children
of mankind!
 Because of Jesus' life Acts 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the
Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were
oppressed by the devil, for God
was with him.
 Because of Jesus' death
Titus 3:3 For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to
various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by
others and hating one another. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God
our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in
righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and
renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ
our Savior, so that being justified by his grace
Let’s remember and never take for granted the goodness and kindness of God.
Rom. 2:4 Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and
patience, not knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?

Whether God is everywhere

 God is present everywhere by having immediate knowledge and direct power
throughout the universe (with the addition that his presence extends to unoccupied
regions of space).

Intellectual Proofs for God’s Existence

Throughout human history many excellent arguments have been advanced that
demonstrate God’s existence. St. Thomas Aquinas’s (1225-1274) ideas provide us with
five “proofs” for the existence of God:
1. Argument from Motion: Our senses can perceive motion by seeing that things act on
one another. Whatever moves is moved by something else. Consequently, there must be a
First Mover that creates this chain reaction of motions. This is God. God sets all things in
motion and gives them their potential. 2. The Argument from Efficient Cause: Because
nothing can cause itself, everything must have a cause or something that creates an effect
on another thing. Without a first cause, there would be no others. Therefore, the First
Cause is God.
3. The Argument from Necessary Being: Because objects in the world come into
existence and pass out of it, it is possible for those objects to exist or not exist at any
particular time. However, nothing can come from nothing. This means something must
exist at all times. This is God.
4. The Argument from Gradation: There are different degrees of goodness in different
things. Following the “Great Chain of Being,” which states there is a gradual increase in
complexity, created objects move from unformed inorganic matter to biologically
complex organisms. Therefore, there must be a being of the highest form of good. This
perfect being is God.
5. The Argument from Design: All things have an order or arrangement that leads them to
a particular goal. Because the order of the universe cannot be the result of chance, design
and purpose must be at work. This implies divine intelligence on the part of the designer.
This is God.
6. The Scriptures stress both God’s Transcendence and Immanence. These terms can help
us to understand more about God.

Attributes of God

God has revealed for us several of his attributes. The Apostles’ Creed identifies only one
of God’s attributes: omnipotence. This means the God is Almighty. God’s power is
unlimited =,
but it is a loving, merciful, and gracious power.
St. Thomas Aquinas listed the following nine attributes of God that are evidenced
through history and in scriptures:
1. God is unique. There is no God like Yahweh (Isaiah 45:18).
2. God is infinite and omnipotent. God is everywhere, unlimited, and all-powerful. God
can do
everything (Psalms 135:5-6).
3. God is eternal. God always was and always will be. God is the being who cannot not
be
(Isaiah 40:28)
4. God is immense. God is not limited to space (1 Kings 8:27).
5. God contains all things.
6. God is immutable. God does not change (Psalms 102:25-28).
7. God is utterly simple – a pure Spirit. The opposite of simple is complex which means
divisible
into parts. In God there are no parts, no divisions. God is not a material. God’s image
cannot be
made (Exodus 20:4).
8. God is alive (the source of all life), knows all things and love and cares beyond limit
God is
Personal. The saving God manifested personal love through the compassionate acts in the
history of the Israelites and most supremely by sending his Son, Jesus Christ, to all
people
(Jeremiah 31:3).
9. God is holy. Holiness is a quality of being absolutely other than other creatures (Isaiah
55:8).
God’s goodness and love are unlimited. We cannot praise the holy God enough.
