Union Cabinet approves Memorandum of Understanding on Governance Reforms between India and
Gambia

The Union Cabinet has approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between India and the
Gambia on Renewal of Personnel Management and Administrative Reforms. The main purpose of the MoU
is to strengthen and promote bilateral cooperation between the two countries in personnel management
and administrative reforms.

For the first time in Mecca, women are involved in security work.

Israel Software - Pegasus

This spy software is "Pegasus" developed by my security company NSO from Israel. It has been said that
this spy software can hack into someone's iPhone or Android phone remotely and steal all the information
and conversation in it. The cell phones of 300 people in India, including political leaders including Rahul
Gandhi, Union ministers and journalists, have been seized by Israel's NSO. It has been reported that the
company was spying on Pegasus software.

Chinese President arrives in Tibet for Arunachal Pradesh

Chinese President Xi Jinping toured Arunachal Pradesh's military capital, Ningxi. He is touring Tibet to mark
the 70th anniversary of China's annexation. Tibet, which has been an independent state since 1912, was
annexed by the Chinese Communist government 70 years ago.

The world's first 3D-printed steel bridge opens in Amsterdam.

The world's first 3D-printed steel bridge opens to the public in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The bridge

NATIONAL EVENTS

New Cabinet - 2021

The Union Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Modi has been expanded to include 12 Dalits, 27 OBCs and
11 women. In addition, 14 people under the age of 50 have been appointed as ministers. Eight tribals have
been appointed as ministers in eight states, including Arunachal Pradesh 43 newly appointed ministers.
These ministers are mostly experienced in working in the central government.

There are also 13 lawyers, 6 doctors, 5 engineers and 7 civil servants. The new cabinet will include eight
tribals from eight states - Arunachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh,
Maharashtra, Odisha and Assam Tripura has never been a member of the Union Cabinet of Independent
India. Pratima Baumik is the first MP from this state.
The Central Government has introduced a mobile app called 'Matsya Setu' for Indian farmers.

Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Minister Giriraj Singh has launched a mobile application called
'Matsya Sethu' to spread the latest freshwater aquaculture technologies to Indian fisheries farmers. The
application was developed by the Central Freshwater Aquaculture Corporation (ICAR) in Bhubaneswar with
funding from the National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB) of Hyderabad.

The Khadi and Village Industries Commission has introduced the "BOLD" scheme to increase the income
of the tribe.

The Khadi and Village Industries Authority (KVIC) has launched a unique project called “Bamboo Oasis in
Drought Lands (BOLD)‟ to create bamboo based green patches in arid and semi arid lands. The project was
started in Nichla Mandwa tribal village in Udaipur, Rajasthan

the jungle.

India's first green hydrogen operation project

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited decides to set up India's first green hydrogen project in Ladakh, Leh
NTPC has decided to set up India's largest solar park on the Rann of Kutch

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a 100% subsidiary of NTPC, has proposed to the Ministry of New and
Renewable Energy (MNRE) to set up a 4,750 MW Renewable Energy Park at Rann Of Kutch in Kawada,
Gujarat. It will be the largest solar park in India to be built by the country’s largest power producer.

in all districts. Child Welfare Development Officers will act as Dowry Prevention Officers.

Cellphone - Laptop Bank (Gadget Bank)

Jharkhand State Police has started a cell phone-laptop bank (Gadget Bank) to ensure that the education of
poor students is not affected.Donate unused cell phones and laptops from people with facilities and
provide them free of cost to poor students.

The federal government has said the caste survey will no longer take place.

During the census only information about the list category called SC, - ST, will be collected. The caste
survey will no longer take place ', the Central Government has said in the Lok Sabha. Caste census was
conducted in 1931 during the British rule. No related survey has been conducted since then. A social,

Ramgarh Vistari is the fourth tiger reserve stronghold in Rajasthan

Rajasthan and the 52nd tiger reserve in India.

requirement that they must be citizens of India
Sir Bahadur appointed Nepal's new Prime Minister

Conflict within the ruling Communist Party of Nepal. This was followed by a second term on the
recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli On May 22, President Vidya Devi Bandari dissolved
parliament.They sued in the Supreme Court against this. Sir Bahadur has been appointed as the new Prime
Minister of Nepal on the orders of judges.

Indian economist Kaushik Basu has been awarded the prestigious Humboldt Research Award

Bangladesh Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus has been awarded the Olympic Laurel Prize.

The first Olympic laurel was presented to Kenyan athlete Kip Keino during the opening ceremony of the
Olympic Games on August 5, 2016 in Rio de Janeiro.

The Olympic Laurel is a new award presented by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to "honor
thosewho have made significant achievements in sports, education, culture, development and peace".
This year's Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Younis is presented with the Olympic Award at the 2020

Sophisticated MH-60R helicopters purchased from the United States

India signed an agreement in February 2020 to purchase a 24 MH-60R helicopter from the United States
worth about Rs 17,750 crore. These helicopters were manufactured by Lockheed Martin in the United
States.

INS Sindhu Shastra


INS Sindhu Shastra, a state-of-the-art submarine owned by the Indian Navy, has arrived at the port of
Thoothukudi. This Russian-made submarine is the 10th Sindhukosh ship in the Indian Navy. The ship is
equipped with state-of-the-art cruise missiles that can launch at a range of about 300 km and strike targets
at land, air and sea, as well as small hand-held missiles and modern weapons

Russia successfully tests long-range high-velocity S-500 missile

Amazon - "Blue Origin"

The world's No. 1 billionaire and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has launched a company called "Blue Origin"
for the space travel program.
It is noteworthy that the New Shepherd was the first spacecraft to travel into space automatically with
astronauts, without a pilot. The spacecraft was accompanied by Jeff Bezos, his brother Mark Bezos, 82-
year-old astronaut Marywalus, 18-year-old Oliver Damon and Sanchal Quante of India. The spaceflight was
completed in 10 minutes and 20 seconds.

Indian women's Test and ODI captain Mithali Raj (762 points) topped the ICC Women's ODI rankings for the
eighth time in her 22-year international career. He has scored a total of 10,277 runs in 317 matches.

Euro Cup -2020

The Euro Cup is held in London in which the Italian team wins beating England in "Penalty Shootout" in the
final. After 15 years, the Italian team has set a record in the international arena. Ponucci of Italy was
choosen. Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo is ranked No. 1 with 5 goals.

Tokyo Olympics

• The 32nd Olympic Games will be held in Tokyo, Japan from July 23 to August 8 2021.
• King Niruhido of Japan announces the official start of the Olympics. This is the 3rd time that a
member of the Japanese royal family has started the Olympics.
• Greece, the home country of the Olympics, was the first team to carry their national flag.
• For the first time in Olympic history, hydrogen will be used as fuel for the Olympic torch lit at the
Tokyo. Propane, magnesium and ammunition were used to keep the Olympic torch lit during the
previous Olympics.
India in the Olympics

In the 125-year history of the Olympics, India has won 28 medals so far, including 9 gold. In hockey alone it
has won a total of 11 medals, including 8 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze. The Indian hockey team led by V

431 competitors from China
