Extinguished - extinguishment is the destruction of a right or contract. If the subject of the contract
is destroyed (such as through merging the contract subject and the contract obligation), then the
contract may be made void.
Implication - An inference of something not directly declared, but arising from what is admitted or
expressed.
Alleged - 1 : asserted to be true especially : stated in an allegation alleged crimes. 2 : accused but not
yet proven or convicted trial of alleged war criminals— R. G. Neumann.
Obligation - An obligation is a legal bond (vinculum iuris) by which one or more parties (obligants)
are bound to act or refrain from acting
Counsel - To counsel is to provide legal advice or guidance to someone on specific subject matter.
Counsel is also a lawyer giving advice about a legal matter and representing clients in court
Commencing - commencing date means the date on which the Act comes into operation
Corresponding - corresponding law means any law in force in the contracting State corresponding to
any of the provisions of this Act or dealing with offences in that country corresponding to any of the
offences under this Act.
Appeal - A challenge to a previous legal determination. An appeal is directed towards a legal power
higher than the power making the challenged determination
Declaration - A declaration is a written statement submitted to a court in which the writer swears
'under penalty of perjury' that the contents are true.
Guarantee - a contract to answer for the payment of some debt, or the performance of some duty,
in the event of the failure of another person who is primarily liable.
Void - no legal effect. An action, document, or transaction which is void is of no legal effect
whatsoever.
Unenforceable - a contract that will not be enforced by a court even though it is valid.
Contravenes - the act of doing something that a law or rule does not allow.
Accommodating - a legal obligation entered into as a gratuitous favor without consideration, such as
a signature guaranteeing payment of a debt.
Disguising - the act of misleading another through intentionally false statements or fraudulent
actions.
Alienated - the process of a property owner voluntarily giving or selling the title of their property to
another party.
Binding - to impose legal obligations or duties upon a person or party to an agreement. TO BIND,
