1.How do you define Society in your own thoughts?

-Society is a large group of people sharing the same cultural aspects such as language,
norms of behavior, dress, customs, laws, and artistic forms

2.Please elaborate or explain the things you want to involve in your society using
science. Means the development you want from your society using science.
-Relevant to science and technology, cell sites provide a wider scale and power speed
internet connection because, in this fast-pacing world, people demand faster
communication. In terms of science and medicine, I want this society to be involved in
having emergency contraceptives to control the mass population and somehow
decrease the ever-rising number of poverty just because of unplanned parenthood

3.Who are the scientists you are expecting to learn in this lesson?
- Marie Currie

4.What do you want to learn from him/her?

-Her courage in facing problematic world of academe in those times when educated
women seem to be preposterous idea. How she battled sexism while proving to the
world that her contributions are not nonsense.

5.What do you think of science? Is it use for bad or is it use for good? Please
explain your thoughts.
-The numerous inventions and innovative solutions in history of Science that we still
benefit from today is no doubt the reason Science is utilized in beneficial way. Humans
continue to dig and search for something that might help the entire humanity, be it a
cure for cancer, a smart way to help you multitask, something to do with your daily living
etc.

6.What do you know about Scientific Revolution? Does it affect the present life of
human?
-Scientific Revolution did affect the present life of humanity. Without all those scientists
and their contributions to scientific revolution, we might not be able to learn and explain
the phenomena that revolve around us, Mathematics is one of product of scientific
revolution and it has made its way into the establishment of civilization. Other scientific
concept have been beneficial for the standard living of humans.

7.If you are a scientist, what will you be able to create? Expand your answer.
-A scientist takes his or her time and consumes in the process of “creating”. Creation is
just a concept. Everything we do is driven by other things that compel us to make or
“create” phenomena we claim we formulated and originated. In the meantime, I would
probably make something that will be essential in terms of disaster. To help people
survive. Because that’s what life is about, surviving.

8.What do you want to develop in your country in terms of Science?

-One of the things I would gladly recommend to help improve the country, since our
country is prone to natural disaster, thorough planning on building infrastructure that can
withstand typhoons, earthquakes, etc. that can accompany people who have no choice
but to resort to evacuation and leave their homes. Also, the preservation of forests and
trees, animals, bees, and other nature-related things is what I would like to develop
because, without these, we would live in a world where we cannot combat climate
change anymore.

9.What is the impact of Science on Humans?

- Science affected the entire humanity in evident ways. Humans still strives onto making
lives easier, work smarter, phone larger, and their lives longer. Without Science, there is
no civilization, and without civilization, we won’t be able to have education and learning
about these matters that Science
gave us.

10.And what is the impact of Humans to Science?

-Science is a stand-alone phenomenon where-in it can exist without humans, It’s just
humans tend to be curious, wanting to know the process of everything, and how
everything existed. Humans are fixated on determining stuff they don’t know and
Science tends to have most of the answers. It only takes a logical and critical thinker
with the brightest imagination to unfold a few secrets of the universe.

DO THIS

1.Create a pattern showing the cause and effect of science in the society.

CAUSE EFFECT

Vast improvements made in the field of Served to lenghten our life expectancy
medicine and reducen the rate of infant mortality
Discovery of mechanization, better seeds, worked to increase productivity levels on
better techniques of irrigation and pest farms

Railways, modern ocean liner, jet plane, Made our lives more comfortable and
and motor vehicle provided grat possibilities for modern
commercial development and
industrialization

Invention of computer Assisted the process of calculation in

laboratories

invention of smartphone and internet Made communication much simpler. With

a few click away, you can send messages
and inform others of current phenomena

Different Vaccines Brought groundbreaking solutions to

numerous deadly diseases.

Astronomical improvement Explore the space extensively

Development of machines Led to unemployment of man

labor forces

Excessive factories Led to slums where human being live in

squalor

Scientific Progress Moral and spiritual progress has failed to

keep pace

2.Review the history of science and make a timeline highlighting the major
discoveries and developments in science
3.Considering the current state of our society, do you think science literacy
among people has contributed to the growth of our economy?
- Expanded scientific activity is thought to benefit national economic development
through improved labor force capacities and the creation of new knowledge and
technology. Thus, science can be seen as encouraging a trade-off between short-term
economic growth and broader social development.

4.How can science influence government policies?

- A responsible government is must be run by responsible people who will listen to and
evaluate the knowledge that is offered up by science and determine whether it can lend
itself to solving any problems. Some government reaches out to science experts to find
solutions to certain issues like for example the pandemic which is overseen by the
World Health Organization that is composed of many chemists, physicist, and science
experts around the globe. Thus, science is very important in the making, processing,
and implementing a policy that would greatly benefit the people under that government.

5.Identify several Filipino scientists.

6. Research on their contributions in the field of science
7. Examine what made them pursue a career in science.
8. Present the result of your work in a creative way ( collage profile).
