What was the idea of self-confidence given by the speaker?


Self-confidence is a skill and ability to belief in yourself to accomplish any task no matter the
odds, difficulties and adversity, the belief you can accomplish it and speaker used it as skill
because it can be trained by repetition and practice, and self-confidence can’t be built until
it’s not new or novel to us, we should be in pressure of that situation where we think that I’ve
done this thousands of times; this type of thought comes as self-confidence because of ability
of practice and repetition of task

As per the speaker, what process is important for gaining self-confidence?


According to the speaker the process of gaining self-confidence is ability to have firm belief
and faith that you can perform this task no matter what difficulties comes into your path, and
get away from the people who will tear you down next step is reminding yourself false pride
of process was doing repetitive task and practice it because ability of practice builds the self-
confidence by creating thoughts like; I’ve done this many times so I can accomplish this task
and speaker used it as skill because it can be trained by repetition and practice, and self-
confidence can’t be built until it’s not new or novel to us And persistency of accepting the
failure can built confidence and have positive type of self-talk can keep you confident

Why is self-talk important?


According to the speaker self-talk is important because it can reinforce our behavior in any
kind of situation, if we have positive thoughts of self-talk then it will assist us to have belief
or faith to accomplish task and stay self-confident about it, and if we have negative self-talk ,
it will make us to lose the self-confidence like he mentioned about Muhammad Ali, who has
self-belief that he’s the greatest of all time or lance who wears the live strong brand tape on
his hand to remind himself to be strong when in tough situations, if we will not belief in our

selves or have negative thoughts about ourselves than others will never make us to belief in
ourselves and built our confident, we’ll lose our self-esteem to survive, so self-thoughts can
be cause of positive confident behavior or negative loser.

What can you do if you are not feeling good about yourself? How can you
mitigate it?
According to the speaker if we are not feeling well about ourselves, we should do positive self-talk
and think about the good things we have done, never pick or pin points the bad things, and always
have firm belief and perception of positive thoughts no matter you did right or wrong, always praise
and appreciate yourself it will bring you out the storm of negativity and built the self-confidence and
remind the false pride to yourself for positive thoughts. Don’t be critical all the time, we can fix
mistakes by praising or appreciation and ignore the bad things to reinforce positive behavior, just
ignore all the wrong things you’re doing during task performing, just focus on positive, make your
own perception, how you did, just always think of that there is chance, and interpret the things, the
way you want to think, it will make you believe in yourself, we supposed to be different.

What is the problem with repetition highlighted in the audio?


The problem that speaker mentioned was we expect to be self-confident, but we can’t unless the skill
or the task we doing is not novel or new to us, we want to be in situation where we think that we have
done this thousands of times.
