Opportunities For Students Not Successful in Gaining A Place On King

I hope this email finds you well. You are receiving this email because one or more students from
your school were unsuccessful in their application to the K+ programme. You have not been added
to any mailing lists, and we will not use details from the student application to contact you after this
email.
I would like to share some opportunities available for your year 12 students. Please note that
receiving this email does not mean that students are eligible, they will need to check the eligibility
criteria for programmes they apply to.

Applications to the MedView and DentView programmes are open! Click here to apply! The
deadline for applications is 3rd February.
The MedView and DentView programmes run simultaneously but with different themed activities
depending on which programme you are on. Both programmes begin with an in person 3-day spring
school from 4-6th April followed by month events until October. The programmes are designed to:
Provide students with the opportunity to meet current students and clinical
professionals
Support students with their applications to medical and dental school
Provide extracurricular opportunities to enhance your understanding of careers in
the fields of medicine and dentistry
There are 50 places on MedView and 30 places on DentView for year 12 students from non-selective
schools in London and parts of Essex (Basildon, Castlepoint, Rochdale and Thurrock).
Full eligibility criteria can be found on the application form. You must have attended a non-selective
state school since age 11.

We have just launched our 2022 Making Links Schools Challenge and wanted to share the news with
you!
Are you interested in the world around you and keen to share your ideas about the
challenges and opportunities facing business in this changing world?
Are you interested in a career in law?
Are you a student in Y12 (or equivalent) studying at a non-selective state-funded
school/college in the UK?
To enter, submit a short presentation on this year’s theme of ‘Change’ . Selected finalists will join us
for a virtual Grand Final in April and will be invited to join us for a special Summer Open Day in our
London office. There are voucher/cash prizes on offer for yourself and your school and the overall
winner will be invited to join our Making Links Discovery programme. This really is an amazing
opportunity to put your written, oral and debating skills to the test and present yourself and your
work to some of the world’s top legal professionals. The experience will look fantastic on your CV
and the chance to network with expert solicitors this early on in your career would be invaluable.
Join us for a LIVE EVENT on Wednesday, 26 January at 5pm to 6pm to discover more about
Linklaters and meet past Challenge winners. They will share their experiences and tips with you and

Advancing Access is an initiative of the Russell Group of universities and this free online event is for
teachers, careers advisers and careers leaders. Attendees will learn how to best support more of
their students to progress to some of the UK’s most competitive universities.
The event will feature six CPD webinars, a virtual exhibition hall with a stall for each of the Russell
Group universities and a Q&A discussion forum where you can get any question on any topic
answered by our panel of experts.
