Understanding the zero and first conditional!

1.- Have a look at the PPT presentation, take notes of definitions and examples.
2.- Create 3 sentences using the zero conditional and the first conditional (3 of each, 6 in total).

Notes:
Zero conditional, General truth
● If you touch a fire, you get burned.
● People die if they don’t eat.
● If people eat too much, they get fat.

First conditional
● If I have enough money, I’ll buy some new shoes.
● If you help me, I will help you.
● If you tell us the truth, we will forgive you.

Unless
You’ll be sick unless you stop eating.
=
You will be sick if you don’t stop eating.

Work:
Conditional 0 (Conditional zero)
● If children study, then their parents are happy.
● Plants die if they don’t get enough water.
● If you mix red and blue, you get purple.

Conditional 1 ( First conditional)


● If he tells the truth, they will forgive him.
● If you eat well your health will improve.
● If you practice you will be an expert.
