TASK 2

1 Analyze the organizational goals in the scenario to establish the following Fast Track Courier Change
Requirements.
a. Identify changes required.
Changes are needed to assist the major corporate ambitions to increase their market share in
Sydney and also several other objectives. In order to cover more delivery terrain, enterprises
must first expand the number of vehicles in their fleet. There are no automated elevator
gates fitted in all of the new vehicles as they are quite expensive and may burden the
company. Document and identify changes required. Secondly, the company should consider
training drivers on the significance of using PDA devices and GPS, with an uniform learning
platform that is easy for drivers to analyze and comprehend. The company also offers
additional incentives or prizes to drivers who commit to technological improvements and who
react favorably to them. The firm I also believe that adjustments should be made in
communicating with employees. For drivers in particular. Instead of being informed
personally by a newsletter, communication should function better than through other media
since the influence of the transmission of a message personally is better. Furthermore, the
firm must make sure that trucks driven by drivers handling large goods are properly fitted
with automated elevator gates or other instruments to help drivers prevent injuries while
showing how the company looks after its personnel. It is therefore simpler for the company to
educate drivers in the future on new technologies or processes, as the company is a reputable
employer.
b. Prepare an explanation of how the changes suggested should be connected to the strategic
plan objectives of the organization.
The initial amendments are to improve the number of lorries to ensure a more effective
distribution procedure and a timely delivery. This also implies that the company can have
extra room for the goods to transport. The second change is that drivers should be educated
effectively since it is not possible to fulfil the company's aims for increasing the business
market share without taking account of the drivers' new integrated approach, as they play a
key part in delivering packages. The third shift is the communication with workers, in
particular drivers, which is an important step in informing and demonstrating to drivers that
they are the co-factors determining the company's performance in expanding its market
share in Sydney. Good communication inside the firm will also help to keep the company's
employees highly engaged.

The next step is for drivers to ensure that heavy plots are fully-equipped with either
automatic lifting gates or any other equipment which can help drivers reduce injuries, so that
a workforce's cohesive environment is maintained, as their business participation is important
and they play a significant role for the company.

2. Review the present condition of the organisation in order to determine how current policies,
practises and actions comply with the strategic objectives of the organisation.
Examine the performance of the organisation versus its objectives:
a. Public
Depending on the group of employees, the current situation is different. As for the workers of
their headquarters, they seem to work towards the aims of their firm, as they participate
more in teamwork and inspiring possibilities which impact business performance. However,
the drivers' group of employees makes it difficult for the firm to fulfil its objectives since they
have limited chance of taking part and do not take an interest in and cooperate on any
corporate improvements.
b. Policies and process
The current state of communication with the staff is inefficient as drivers tend to not be
completely aware of their printed newsletter, which makes it difficult for the firm to reach its
goals.
c. Technology
The company's GPS modifications in conjunction with the PDA looked to fail, because the
drivers misunderstood all of the processes and needed the Union to fix the problem. This
illustrates the enormous disparity between corporate technology and the strategic objectives
of the corporation.
d. Structure
The structure of remuneration for drivers and employees at the headquarters appears to
have no major influence on the strategic objectives of the company.
3. Track external trends for events or trends that might affect the fulfilment of the strategic plan goals
of the organization.
a. Identifying two trends from outside.
The first external trend is fast technological developments. In addition, changes in client
behavior are the other external trend.
b. Develop an explanation of the influence of current trends or organizational goals.
The rapid changes in the technology will have an influence on the organizational goal of
increasing their market share since the conventional approach is still to distribute the firm
from the other distributor up to technology upgrades.

Changes in consumer comportment will also have an influence on the goals of the
organization as the firm could need to change its approach to accomplish the goal by taking
customer behavior, as there is no way that it can boost its market share at the end of the day
without customers' request.
4. Identify key requirements for operational change.
a. Determine changes caused by gaps in performance.
GPS equipped with complete distribution details in all trucks and PDA

b. Identify business opportunities-related changes.

Reduce drivers per truck and install automated gate to only one driver

c. Identify threat modifications.

Allow drivers to be flexible in their work

d. Identify changes owing to decisions of management.

Modifies the number of drivers, instals automated elevator doors and buys extra vehicles to
enhance its services.
5. Identify professionals to help identify the needs for change.

a. Identify specialists you will be involved in identifying requirements for change and be ready to
explain why you are involved with them. In the first place, I will talk to the technology
manager they have installed to see how it affects their operational objectives. Secondly, I'll
meet the "historians" of the organisation and learn about what worked so successfully in the
past.
b. Identify the model of consultation you would use to involve specialists and be ready to
explain your usage of this model.
The concept of process consulting is best used as the firm must learn, be more controlled and
be driven to work continuously to enhance its market share.
6. Assume that you have selected your assessor in step 7 as a specialist/expert. Talk to your assessor
to help identify change management needs and opportunities.
People, processes, technology, structure, education, management and impacts on change are subject
to changes Changes
7. Identify the managers that need to be informed. Prepare a plan that identifies who, when and how
stakeholder managers will be engaged to review and priorities change requirements. Manager that
responsible in handling the distribution chain such as manager in technology, human resource
manager, logistic manager and marketing manager.

In principle, it is ideal to meet each manager at the start of the process face-to-face in order to grasp
the entire process chain for every department and the snags within its area. Afterwards, there will be
a meeting with all management and the events that took place, and a brain storm session.
8. Assume you have identified your appraiser as a manager. Consult your evaluator to examine your
proposed modifications and to assist you in prioritizing adjustments. Suggest and justify the priority
that each modification you recommend has been prioritized. The first priority is to modify the
communication between the management and the employees in the firm in particular, since effective
communication is the key to the problem arising as the message cannot properly communicate and
leads to a bad consequence.

The second objective is to educate employees in order to guarantee that all employees are
completely prepared for the transition of the new operation before any changes in the business. The
expense of improvements will just be wasted without adequate training.
The third task is to ensure that the new technology works effectively and is fully utilized to facilitate
company activities.
9. Identify the supervisors to whom information is required. Create a plan to establish who will assess
and priorities changes requirements, when and how stakeholder managers will be engaged. Manager
responsible for the management of the distribution chain, such as technology manager, manager of
human resources, logistics and marketing manager.

In principle, it is ideal to meet each manager at the start of the process face-to-face in order to grasp
the entire process chain for every department and the snags within its area. After that, all the
managers will be met and all the happenings will be presented and a brain storm session will
commence together.

The first priority is to modify the communication between the management and the employees in the
firm in particular, since effective communication is the key to the problem arising as the message
cannot properly communicate and leads to a bad consequence.

1 Identify and discuss objectives of change (Goal A and Goal B) and:

Objective A is genuinely important for the company to ensure that all its operational and strategic
objectives and objectives may be reached. The company seeks to enhance its market reach to many
places where it has not existed to far. This means that the company must technologically improve it
so that its competitors may compete in a challenging way. The improvement of technology will also
enable the company to get higher market share. This will also enable the company to track and reach
its delivery personnel on time, if necessary, and may prove extremely useful in the event of an
emergency.

Goal B is also vital to the corporation as the company offers knowledge and data on strategies and
policy processes through a written handbook that is really carried in every vehicle such as the manual
for its employees. This can be advanced and this system makes personnel more technologically
developed and improved. One individual per camion system will also ensure an efficient and efficient
use of the human resources as well as the correct use of all other resources for the production of the
company. The automation of the gates will allow the drivers not to lift the gates manually anymore.
This will also inspire drivers to believe that the company even thinks and is concerned about drivers'
problems (Bowman and Jarrett, 1996).

Who is the target?A of a company that focuses on implementing a GPS system for truck
tracking, with a view to improving the delivery time and system, will affect truck drivers
directly. The adoption of this system will also influence the other company employees, such as
the local suppliers, loading and unloading personnel, and even the middle-level managers.

How: These adjustments will be necessary for extremely cautious implementation and will
demand a great deal of care. If any company does not like and is not prepared to accept
adjustments and changes, the company will suffer in the long term. The employees in the
achievement of both the objectives are provided with adequate training to assist them to
comprehend the changes and to make them easier to adapt them. The management team will
require some specialists to teach employees who provide the new technological know-how and
also urge employees to utilise new technologies every day that they may aid as individuals and
the complete company.

When: Changes will be made by the end of July 2017 and the outcomes will be assessed by the
end of 2018.

As organisations aim to extend their operation via their development of an integrated distribution
methodology and the use of GPS and PDA devices, the goals of change are simplified and are in sync
with a cohesive productive employees. Not only will the use of latest technological educate and aid to
welcome change, but also inspire staff to enhance and evolve (Jick, 1991). Enabling you to
comprehend a single driver / car policy will improve your performance and reward your performance
