Objectives

Change management objectives for Samson Media include:

process that were conducted:

Communication activities: as per the scenario information, the communication


activities were likely to include:

 Weekly meetings with the employees


 Informal communication
 Newsletter updates through staff email.

All remaining employees were surveyed one month after the modification was
implemented. According to a recent analysis:

 Positive and negative replies were received. As a thorough training and


meeting process has helped most employees adjust to the shift.
Although the procedure has been improved, a large percentage of
employees are still unhappy with it.
 Staff are generally happy with the organisational shift, and there is no
evidence of opposition.

 Some communication and consultation difficulties are obvious in this


situation. There was a general impression that there was not enough
communication.

Recommendations

Recommendations arising from the analysis are to update the change


management plan and the communication and education plan are as follows:

In the case that employees cannot attend all meetings, provide them with a
calendar of meetings and information sessions. Team brainstorming sessions
would be a great way to continue the conversation. Employees can access
pre-recorded content, such as webcasts. Encouraging managers to arrange
team meetings in between the weekly all-staff meetings can help enhance
communication with employees. Following these discussions, staff meetings
might be informed by the information gained from these sessions. Motivate
employees by offering them incentives.
