Class activity You are reporters at a Hollywood press conference
for a new James Bond movie. Interview the actors and actresses and
complete the information below. Ask questions like these.

PARTNER A

 Interview your partner. Find out if your partner’s got a job.

If the answer is yes, find out If the answer is no, find out

 Your partner has got some questions to ask you. Give plenty of information
in your answers.

 Interview your partner. Your partner is thinking of a job (not his/her real
job). You can ask a maximum of fifteen questions, and try to find out what the
job is. Your partner can only answer yes or no. Start with these questions.
Find out:

1 if he/she works inside or outdoors


Example: You can ask Do you work outdoors? And your partner will
answer
Yes, I do or no, I don’t
2 if he/she works alone or with others (You can ask Do you work alone?)
3 if he/she handles money as part of the job
4 if he/she uses the phone a lot
5 if he/she stands or sits most of the time

Swap meet

 You want to sell three things at the class swap meet. Make a card
for each thing like this.

 Class activity Now form two groups – the Sellers and


the Buyers – and have a swap meet. The Sellers use their cards first.

Sellers: Use your cards to answer the Buyers’ questions.


Try to sell all your things.

Buyers: You have $300 to spend.


Go around the swap meet and talk to the Sellers.
Ask questions like these and write down the things you want to
buy.

What do you have for sale?


What kind is it?
How old is it?
How much is it?

 Stop after 10 minutes. Tell the class what you want to buy like this.
I’d like to buy John’s stereo. It’s $125.
And I’d like to get Rosa’s typewriter. It’s only $40.

 Change roles and have another swap meet.
