Introduction

I am Piyush Khanduri and im from Noida. I completed my Btech degree in Electronics

and Communication from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology.

Post that I got an opportunity to intern with EV Update Media, which is an EV focused
media firm. It is supported by The Climate Reality Project and it is an official Media
Partner to them.

One of my primary responsibilities was to interact and interview industry leaders from
firms like Okaya, Panasonic, Renon India etc for the bi-monthly e-magazine the
company publishes. I was assigned the task to get them on board and prepare to
interview which took place either through zoom or email questionnaires prepared by
me.

I was also responsible for devising the end-to-end agenda for two online events. I
designed the overall flow and timeline of the events, the relevant guests to be invited
and the topics to be covered.

I have been part of the volleyball team both in School and college which helped me
develop a deep sense of team spirit.
Apart from this, I like to spend my time sketching, playing volleyball or quizzing.

Why MBA
I decided to go for an MBA for three main reasons: My Personal growth, Learning and
Career Acceleration.

MBA will help me develop better leadership and interpersonal skills which gets better
when you work with a group. Mba would help widen my perspective and expose me to
diversity

I wanted to continue my education and invest two years of my life into learning. Whatever
shortcomings I have, I believe I can overcome them by learning from my peers and the
faculty.

MBA would also provide me with the platform to implement what I learn and excel further
ahead.
My strengths are:
 I am not constrained by my habits and if push comes to shove I do what
needs to be done.

 Very determined and strong-willed person. I don’t lose hope easily

 Being a sports person I have a deep sense of team spirit and mutual
respect

My areas of improvement are:

 I sometimes get impatient about things

 Get too hard on myself which can be stressful at times

 I feel I find it difficult to stay in present sometimes and worry about step
two before completing step one

Internship

I got an opportunity to intern with EV Update Media, an EV focused media

firm, which releases a bi-monthly e-magazine and hosts both online and offline
events about the EV industry.

One of my primary responsibilities was to interview industry stalwarts both

from firms like Okaya, Panasonic and startups like Renon India etc for the bi-
monthly e-magazine. I was assigned the task to get them on board and also
played a part in developing the questions and everything. The interview took
place either on online platforms like zoom or through email questionnaires.

I was also responsible for devising the end-to-end agenda for two online events
for the company. One of which was like a 4 5 episode series talking about
various aspects of the EV industry and the other was an event for which we
were hired. I designed the overall flow of the events, the relevant guests to be
invited and the topics to be covered.
Goals
My immediate goal is to understand the know-how of the field and how
marketing and management works. Repeat this cycle of learning, applying
and improving.

My long term goal is to be a senior business executive of a firm, handling

multiple portfolios, helping the firm to transform into a new strategic
direction. I wish to give back to the society, and to this country that has
provided me with everything.

Why You
Being a fresher I come with an open and fresh perspective of things.

Having a background in the technical field I believe I can come up with

innovative solutions and ideas for the organization.

I have a sense of how to work and cooperate in a team to attain goals. Playing
sports and doing projects being in a team has developed a sense of collaboration
within me.

I am always open to new learnings and grasp things fast. Because I love what I
do, I have a steady source of motivation that drives me to do my best.
BLOCKCHAIN

 A blockchain is essentially a digital ledger of transactions that is duplicated

and distributed across the entire network of computer systems on the
blockchain. Each block in the chain contains a number of transactions, and
every time a new transaction occurs on the blockchain, a record of that
transaction is added to every participant’s ledger.
 The decentralised database managed by multiple participants is known as
Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT).
 Blockchain is a type of DLT in which transactions are recorded with an
immutable cryptographic signature called a  hash .
 This means if one block in one chain was changed, it would be immediately
apparent it had been tampered with. If hackers wanted to corrupt a blockchain
system, they would have to change every block in the chain, across all of the
distributed versions of the chain.
 Bitcoin was designed to solve this problem by using a specific type of database
called a blockchain. Most normal databases, such as an SQL database, have
someone in charge who can change the entries (e.g. giving themselves a million X
dollars). Blockchain is different because nobody is in charge

 The goal of blockchain is to allow digital information to be recorded and distributed, but
not edited. Blockchain technology was first outlined in 1991 But it wasn’t until almost
two decades later, with the launch of Bitcoin in January 2009, that blockchain had its
first real-world application.
 The key thing to understand here is that Bitcoin merely uses blockchain as a means to
transparently record a ledger of payments, but blockchain can, in theory, be used to
immutably record any number of data points. As discussed above, this could be in the
form of transactions, votes in an election, product inventories, state identifications, deeds
to homes, and much more.

1. Improving Marketing and Digital Advertising Campaigns

With Blockchain, it is possible to link merchants with marketers providing data transparency,
clicks, and interactions, preventing fraud, and eliminating the middleman. The data from
digital advertising campaigns can sometimes be inaccurate, so improvement can be difficult.
Top brands such as Unilever are applying Blockchain for improving digital advertising
efficiency successfully with IBM.

2. Fraud Prevention
There are probable areas such as digital advertising, bots, click farms, and ghost websites
where fraud can happen.
Major brands such as Toyota have been applying Blockchain applications in digital
marketing for reducing fraud in its digital advertising campaigns.

3. Establishing Trust and Credibility

Businesses prefer the reason Blockchain is because it can securely verify, store, and share
data across several parties, gaining trust eventually.
With Blockchain, business owners will be able to prove where their products are coming
from and show the supply chain forging willingness among customers to buy from them.

4. Boosting Transparency
bots alone have cost companies more than $7 billion in damage in 2016. with Blockchain,
the chain is transparent and encrypted because of the digital ledger system.
Organizations can save millions in ad spend by ascertaining the people viewing their ads are
their targeted audience.
5. Strengthens Content Monetization
Content is one of the most important components of a business when it comes to
marketing.Blockchain allows consumers, bloggers, and streamers who create content
regularly to get rewarded directly rather than the third party content platforms.
For instance, content sharing platforms such as Steemit and PodMiners are applying
Blockchain solutions and gaining rewards in the form of STEEM tokens and incentives.

Cathay Pacific
Asian airline Cathay Pacific and its rewards program, Asia Miles, have teamed up with
Accenture to launch their first application of blockchain technology. The airline will issue air
miles to customers over a single distributed ledger, allowing customers, airline partners, and
the airline itself to manage member rewards in real-time.
The new campaign, called ‘Unlock More Miles,’ ties in with a promotion in Hong Kong
where Asia Miles members see miles earned credited to their accounts the following day. The
blockchain platform automates data fulfillment procedures, enabling a transparent transaction
history between the airline and participating dining partners by sharing the data set. This
improves business efficiency by minimizing back-office administration.

Elsewhere, German airline Lufthansa has announced its investment in a Swiss blockchain

startup – through an ICO – after revealing plans to launch a B2B blockchain marketplace on a
public Ethereum blockchain.

IBM
In March 2017, IBM launched its Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) solution and has long been
involved in a range of trials in several different industries.

The 107-year-old company has already collaborated with Danish shipping giant Maersk on
global supply chain inefficiencies and retail colossus Walmart on food supply issues.
