Sub:   Provision of Train Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) on 160 Kmph
section on NDLS-Mumbai and NDLS-Howrah.
Ref:    Minutes of Meeting taken by Hon’ble MR on 04.07.2020.
 
 
Kindly refer to Minutes of Meeting as referred above taken by Hon’ble MR on
04.07.2020. As brought out in para 4.1 that indigenously developed and RDSO
approved Train Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) shall be adopted as National
ATP system across Indian Railways.
 
TCAS, being a cost effective technology and approved for speeds upto 160
Kmph, will be rolled out  on sections of GQ/GD identified for running trains at 160
Kmph. Thus, components of ETCS level 2 already included in the estimates may be
replaced with the components of the indigenous technology of TCAS.
 
 General Managers are requested to get the estimate recast as per Para-4.2,
4.7 and Para-9 of the Minutes of Meeting issued vide this office note no. 2020/Sig/25/
MR Meeting/1 Dt 24.7.2020 at the earliest.
