This document also applies to software upgrades for the Xerox® Color 800/1000 Press.
This SPAR software is to address specific problems since released version 3.0.02.
Installation
The installation of all software components is documented in a separate document titled Xerox ®
Color 800i/1000i PCUI HW and System SW Install Procedure.
• This software release is for the Xerox® Color 800i/1000i Press and Xerox® Color 800/1000
Press only.
• All components described in the Purpose section must be installed as a set.
• This System Software version or newer must be used when the system is configured with LED
Lamp FWA or with Silver/Gold dry ink.

New Function
IOT software support for Gold and Silver Toners, LED Lamp FWA.
Up / Down purge improvements which result in more purge sheets delivered to top tray during cycle down.
The system will direct the operator to remove a few critical sheets from the paper path and attempts to
deliver the rest of the sheets to top tray at cycle up.
Fuser Jam improvements by moving sheets to the cooling module when possible.
Cycle-up time reduction when changes from 4 or 5 color job to 1 color job.
4 color over 1 color productivity improvements.
UI software change to display the Stock Library button when in Diagnostic Mode.
UI software update to add Date and Comment element on the Stock Library, Alignment Library, Fold
Adjustment Library. Added Date field to DFA Profiles in Finishing Devices and the Recommended Media
List.
UI software update to change pull down list to button for Alignment Profile, Fold Adjustment Profile
UI software change to allow custom stock name change on the Stock Property window. Easier to also
copy names in the property window (Ctrl-+C) and paste it on a new stock window (Ctrl+V).
UI software update to increase the number of lines in the main window message area.
UI software change on the Paper Curl Correction Setup and Fold Adjustment routine to provide the
possible options in one window.

DFA profiles updates
DFIN 5.42.0: Unable to print or 47-320 after loading older DFIN version on PWBA 960K76040. This new
version is required until newer PWBA is released without this firmware version dependency.

PFIM 4.23.00: Release of updated PFIM software
Diagnostic 2.8.19.5: Improved entering Degraded Mode by eliminating machine
data reads in order to always be able to enter the available dC routines.
WT106653 Diagnostics 2.8.19.5: Addressed license manager problem resulting in not being able
to update a license or incorrectly entering Degraded Mode.
Updated NVM write script for NVM not updated in System version 3.0.02; part of
software installer.
Diagnostics 2.8.19.7: Multiple fixes up to version 2.8.19.7:
• dC970 Start Auto Setup routine is now working.
• Database save on exit from diagnostics is re-enabled.
CQGbl00771344 RSClient 4.5.5: Multiple fixes up to version 4.5.5:
• Null pointer issue causing multiple java processes to stack up in the Task
Manager.
• Thread sleep issue.
• Unhandled exceptions and java process not exiting correctly causing RSClient
stop pushing data. It also eliminates extra testing of connection with server.
• Incorrect wait timeout, causing RSClient wait for a long time (about 45 years) to
exit cleanly when a connection or transfer error occurred with server.
