ADMINISTRATOR: Responsible for the overall operations of a medical specialty hos
pital focusing on sub-acute and rehabilitation care owned by Horizon Healthcare
Corporation, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Achieved a FY 95 net income result of $85
,000 vs. budget of $19,000 via 35% growth in daily census, expansion of medical
staff by 15, and initiation of a contract respiratory therapy program to two are
a SNFs generating over $20,000 per month in new revenue. Improved hospital quar
terly CQI scores by 40%.

DIVISION MANAGER, Health Alliance Division (1987-1989): Developed preferred prov
ider networks for introduction of a new CHAMPUS insurance product in five (5) se
lected U.S. markets. Successfully negotiated hospital provider agreements in ea
ch market with potential of $500,000 per year per hospital in new inpatient busi
ness; developed and negotiated physician participation agreements in 3 of 5 mark
ets totaling over 400 physicians.
SENIOR CONSULTANT, The Hunter Consulting Group Division (1986-1987): Responsible
for executing specific strategy engagements for various hospital clients. Deve
loped strategic business plans for clients that included an analysis of facility
service strengths, weaknesses, competitive market position, medical staff analy
sis, comparative financial/cost position, clinical program analysis with 5-year
market projections and an identification of future strategic business developmen
t opportunities.
