An Elementary Proof of The ABC Conjecture
Let a a positive integer, a = ∏i aαi i , ai prime integers and αi ≥ 1 positive integers. We call radical
of a the integer ∏i ai noted by rad(a). Then a is written as:
We note:
µa = ∏ aαi i −1 =⇒ a = µa .rad(a) (1.2)
i
The ABC conjecture was proposed independently in 1985 by David Masser of the University of
Basel and Joseph OEsterlé of Pierre et Marie Curie University (Paris 6) ([1]). It describes the
distribution of the prime factors of two integers with those of its sum. The definition of the ABC
conjecture is given above:
Conjecture 1.3. ( ABC Conjecture): Let a, b, c positive integers relatively prime with c = a + b,
then for each ε > 0 , there exists K(ε) such that :
Let a, b, c positive integers, relatively prime, with c = a + b. We suppose that b < a, we can
write that a verifies:
c−a
a = t.b + (1 − t).c t ∈]0, 1[,t = (2.1)
c−b
Let:
1 c−b
β0 = = > 1 =⇒ c = aβ0 − (β0 − 1)b =⇒ c < aβ0 + (β0 − 1)b (2.2)
1−t a−b
As:
aβ0 + (β0 − 1)b < β0 .(β0 − 1).ab =⇒ c < β0 .(β0 − 1).ab (2.3)
But a = µa .rad(a) and b = µb .rad(b), we obtain then:
If β > β0 =⇒ β .(β − 1) > β0 .(β0 − 1) =⇒ c < β .(β − 1).µa .µb rad(ab). Let ε > 0 a real number,
we choose β = β0 + ε and taking :
Then, we obtain:
c < K(ε).rad(abc)1+ε (2.5)

Theorem 1. (David Masser, Joseph Œsterlé & Abdelmajid Ben Hadj Salem; 2018) Let a, b, c pos-
itive integers relatively prime with c = a + b, then for each ε > 0, there exists K(ε) such that :
