SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate.

YARN: - Worsted Medium Yarn (Lace 4) in Light Blue, Dark Blue, Shimmer Blue, Linen White, Black.

- Classic Crochet cotton Thread (size 10) in Blue.

- Sewing Thread in and Black

HOOK SIZES: 3,50 mm

OTHER MATERIALS: - 12 mm Blue Safety Eyes;

- Polyester Fiberfill;

- White felt

- Sewing needle / Yarn needle

DIMENSION: the finished doll is approximately 8 inches (20 cm) tall.

STITCHES USED and ABBREVIATIONS: magic circle (mc) chain (ch), stitch (st), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc),

decrease (dec), increase (inc), back loop (bl), front loop (fl), fasten off (F/O), round (R).

INSTRUCTIONS: work continuously, do not join at the end of each round (otherwise instructed).

HEAD: worsted medium weight light blue yarn; 3,50 mm hook.

1) 8 sc in mc (8)

2) inc all around (16)

3) *1 sc, inc *, repeat ** all around (24)

4) *2 sc, inc *, repeat ** all around (32)

5) *3 sc, inc *, repeat ** all around (40)

6-7) sc even (40)

8) *4 sc, inc*, repeat ** all around (48)

9) sc even (48)

10) *5 sc, inc*, repeat ** all around (56)

11) sc even (56)

12) *5 sc, dec*, repeat ** all around (48)

13-14) sc even (48)

15) *4 sc, dec*, repeat ** all around (40)

19) *3 sc, dec*, repeat ** all around (32); join to the next st, F/O, cut the yarn.

20) at R10 insert light blue yarn with yarn needle from the inside of the head (you can start inserting the needle in any stitch). Sewing
toward the left side, skip 3 st and insert the needle from outside to inside. Skip 2 st and pull out the needle again. Skip again 3 st
and insert the needle (now you should have booth yarn loose ends inside the head). Pull the two ends and fasten them off with a
simple knot. Follow the directions in the pictures below.

21) cut two white pieces of felt and shape them as shown in the pictures. Create a hole in the felt with the scissor; insert safety eyes in
the felt and then in the head approximately at R10.

22) With shimmer blue yarn embroider the eyebrows.

23) With blue Classic Crochet cotton Thread embroider the mouth as shown in the picture of pag. 1. Stuff the head.

NOSE: worsted medium weight light blue yarn; 3,50 mm hook.

In the middle of the face, join light blue yarn, crochet in round 4 sc, join with first st, F/O and hide the yarn in the middle of the 4
stitches.

GLASSES: worsted medium weight black yarn; 3,50 mm hook.

1) embroider the glasses contour;

2) crochet a long strip of ch (to determine the length, assure it will cover the entire contour of the glasses); F/O.

3) position the chain strip and sew it to the face with black sewing thread.

4) make two 6 ch strips to create the temples and sew it to the face with black sewing thread.

SWEATER: worsted medium weight linen white yarn; 3,50 mm hook.

1) join the yarn to any st of the last round of the head (I would suggest to start from the back). Sc even (32)

2) *3 sc, inc*, repeat ** all around (40)

3-6) sc even (40)

7) *4 sc, inc*, repeat ** all around (48)

8) *5 sc, inc*, repeat ** all around (56)

9) sc even (56)

10) *5 sc, dec*, repeat ** all around (48); F/O; start stuffing the body.

RIBBED SWEATER EDGING: worsted medium weight linen white yarn; 3,50 mm hook.

1) 3 ch;

2) work in bl only; 1 sc in the 2nd st from the hook, 1 sc (2), ch1, turn

3-48) work in bl only; 2 sc(2), ch 1, turn.

I suggest to F/O the ribbed band AFTER you sew it to the last round of the sweater. Adjust the ribbed band length before F/O.

RIBBED HIGH NECK: worsted medium weight linen white yarn; 3,50 mm hook.

1) 7 ch;

2) work in bl only 1 sc in the 2nd st from the hook, 1 sc (6), ch1, turn

3-32) work in bl only; 6 sc (6) ch1, turn

I suggest to F/O the ribbed band AFTER you sew it to the neck of the sweater. Adjust the ribbed band length before F/O.

HAND/ARM: worsted medium weight light blue / linen white yarn; 3,50 mm hook.

Join and ch 1 at the end of each round.

LEFT:

1) starting with light blue yarn; 6 sc in mc (6), join, ch1

2) *2 sc, inc*, repeat ** twice (8), join

3) 3 ch, 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc in the 3rd ch of the hook, 1 sc in the first st of the round, 7 sc (8), join, ch 1

4) *2 sc, dec*, repeat ** twice (6), sl st to the first st of the previous round (crochet the sl st keeping the hook behind the thumb)
and join linen white yarn

RIBBED SLEEVE BAND: worsted medium weight linen white yarn; 3,50 mm hook; make two

1) 3 ch;

2) work in bl only; 1 sc in the 2nd st from the hook, 1 sc (2) ch1 and turn

3-11) work in bl only; 2 sc (2), ch 1, turn.

I suggest to F/O the ribbed band AFTER you sew it to the first round of the white sleeve.

Adjust the ribbed band length before F/O.

FOOT/LEG: worsted medium weight light blue / dark blue yarn; 3,50 mm hook; make two.

In the following instructions, the two legs are identical but I will refer to leg#1 and leg#2.

1) start working with dark blue yarn, 6 sc in mc (6)

2) *2 sc, inc*, repeat ** twice (8)

3) *3 sc, inc*, repeat ** twice (10)

4) attach light blue yarn, crocheting in bl only, sc even (10)

5) in both loops now, *4 sc, inc*, repeat ** twice (12)

6) attach dark blue yarn, crocheting in fl only, *1 sc, inc*, repeat ** 6 times (18)

7) In both loops now, *2 sc, inc*, repeat ** all around (24)

8) sc even (24)

9) *3 sc, inc*, repeat ** all around (30)

F/O the yarn of leg#1; when finished working on leg#2, cut a long tail and use it to join the legs.

Merge the legs together:

1) insert hook into any one st of leg#1 and sc 1, make 5 more sc (the 6 st attach the two legs together).

2) continue to sc all around the two legs (one round completed with 48 sc)

3) sc even (48); F/O, cut the yarn and sew it to the last round of the sweater as shown in the picture

As you sew the legs to the body stuff the doll firmly.

HAIR: worsted medium weight shimmer blue yarn; 3,50 mm hook.

14) 14 sc, 1 sl st; F/O, cut the yarn and leave a long tail for sewing on top of the head.

Attach long string of yarn to create hair (follow the pictures and the tutorial on the web at https://goo.gl/eRbuZR).

Trim the hair strings as showed in the pictures below.
