The Oz Factor

PROTAGONIST
Every day I get off the bus.

You can hear a bus stop and open its doors. PROTAGONIST walks
down the alleyway.

PROTAGONIST
From my shithole of a school, back to my shithole of a house.

PROTAGONIST
It’s all the same

PROTAGONIST sits on his bed

PROTAGONIST
Every day just merges with the next.

PROTAGONIST walks out of his home.

PROTAGONIST
I just wanted to get away from all that screaming and shouting
and writhing around.

PROTAGONIST
It’s nice out here...

PROTAGONIST looks around on his bench after hearing some

PROTAGONIST
Sometimes
PROTAGONIST gets a call from his mum and he picks up the
phone.

PROTAGONIST
Oh hi mum, yeah, yeah- uh I don’t know where it is, well it
wouldn’t be in my room no I'm not upstairs mum I'm not even
in-

PROTAGONIST’s mum hangs up. He starts to hear the arguing of

his parents again. He sits and walks around his town for a bit
before sitting at another bench.

The sound of his parents arguing follows him everywhere he

goes. He sits blankly on his bench before he is startled by a
glass bottle breaking and shouting down the road. Two hooded
figures walk round the corner away from him in the distance.
This obviously spooks our PROTAGONIST, and he decides to again
go back home. But something starts to become obviously wrong.
He begins to wonder where he is, the very streets he seemed to
know like the back of his hands are looking alien to him. He
starts to panic, stopping and turning at roads he is never
seen before. Everything looks familiar to him, yet he is lost.
He stumbles around streets and through alleys until he stops.
He stares at the camera. He see’s himself in the distance, on
the same bench he was just on earlier.

It cuts to him on the bench now. He gets startled by a glass

bottle breaking and shouting down the road. The figures come
round the corner towards him.
