2. Provide solutions.
3. All solutions must be handwritten. Use a maximum of 10 sheets of coupon (any size).

A. IDENTIFICATION (1 POINT EACH)

1. The time rate of change of momentum is equal to the force producing it, and the
change takes place in the direction in which the force is acting.
2. Represents an infinite straight line along which the force is acting.
3. All forces acting along the same straight line.
4. All forces are parallel to each other, but not all lie in the same plane.
5. The internal effect of the force is to produce stress and deformation in the body on
which the forces acts.
6. Has only magnitude, but no direction.
7. Are arbitrary names we give to the physical quantities.
8. This properly manifests itself as a gravitational attraction between two bodies and
provides a measure of the resistance of matter to a change in velocity.
9. Two vectors can be added to give a resultant, this resultant in turn can be added to
a third vector.
10. A sketch of the isolated body which shows only forces acting upon the body.
11. All forces intersects at a common point but do not all lie in the same plane.
12. All forces acting in the same plane.
13. Is the action or state of being squished down or pressed down.
14. The study of bodies in equilibrium.
15. May be defined as the action of one body on another body that affects the state of
motion or rest of body.
