Performance Task 1: TOURISM.COM


The learners assume the role as a T ourism Promotion Agent and are exp ected to promote their hometown as a tourist attraction
sharing their k nowledge about their community in terms of their culture, architecture, gastronomy, infrastructure, landsc ape,
events, etc. Use the best picture you can access (either from your personal collection or from other on line sources) and explain why
this place deserves to be visited. Highlight its recreational activities (HOPE4) an d local foods, products, and services
(Entrepreneurship). If you have the chance, post your work in Faceboo k, Instagram or any social media sites (MIL) or if none, paste
your gathered pictures and write descriptions in a s hort bond paper. A screenshot is to be submitted to your subject teachers!
The criteria are as follows:
1. Effectiveness (The output sh ow overall idea about MIL, HOPE, and Entrepreneurship.) – 10 pts.
2. Informational (The pictures with descriptions show understanding of the hometown.) – 10 pts.
3. Promotional Quality (The pr esentation is effective in promoting the hometown.) – 10 pts.

Performance Task 2: DIY BRAND


The learners try to start their dream business (Entrepreneurship). This may be any business you are very fond of doing or
recreational (HOPE4): online gaming, gardening, baking, or outdoor leisure activities like traveling, touring, etc. In a paper,
introduce your target business and create your own trademark design to be used in posters, flyers or web pages of your dream
business (MIL). Make sure to include the most appropriate visuals and text in your brand design. Also, incorporate your name in
your brand name for a more personal feel.
The criteria are as follows:
1. Logo Design Difficulty (The output is detailed and show a high level of difficulty.) – 10 pts.
2. Description (The description provides adequate understanding for the design.) – 10 pts.
3. Creativity/Originality (The logo show a high level of creativity/originality.) – 10 pts.

Performance Task 3: READY? EVALU ATE!


The learners assume that they are c ontent evaluators. Write an essay th at evaluate interactive educational blog(s) or YouTube
video(s). For tho se without internet connection, evaluate any printed material (a magazine) or a TV program (KMJS, Pinas Sarap,
etc.). Two essays are re quired, one for each topic below. Topics:
1. any outdoor recreational a ctivities (HOPE4)
2. any business-related conten t (Entrepreneurship) Each
of your essay should include:
1. a brief description of the to pic you have chosen to evaluate;
2. the positive features (of the blog, the video, the printed material, and/or the TV program) as well as the parts that need to be
im proved. Use Coiro’s four dimensions of critical evaluation – Relevance, Accuracy, Bias/ Perspective , and Reliability
and Caufield’s SIFT moves as your basis. (MIL); and
3. a discussion about how the content you are evaluating creates an impact on you personally.
Send the essay about outdoor recr eational activities to your HOPE teacher and the essay about the business of your choice to your
Entrepreneur ship teacher. Both essays will also be submitted to your MIL teacher.
Your essay will be graded base on t he following criteria:
1. Evidence-based (The essay show understanding of the concepts in HOPE or Entrepreneurship.) – 10 pts.
2. Quality of writing (The essay is very informative and well-organize d.) – 10 pts.
3. Focus (The writer is aware of the evaluation process and has evi dent awareness of the task.) – 10 pts.
