The preamble is significant because it explains why a particular clause in the

Philippine Constitution exists. It would reveal what the Filipinos are aiming for, who they
want to be, and what they believe in. The preamble is similar to the "executive
summary" of a constitution in that it explains the goals, aspirations, and what to expect
from a country's body of regulations. It is as important as a huge proportion of the
population believes this to be, or else they will attempt to end it. Constitutionalism, like
rights common law, is context-free irrationality. Religious dogmatists used these
systems to conservatively "secure along" and retain power and one's power. The
preamble establishes the voice for national governance. It summarizes the
encompassing targets. It indicates that we are all born with any of these inherent rights
as Filipinos, and we must protect them at all costs. If we don't preserve this
commitment, what will we say when they ask us why we allowed ourselves to be
oppressed someday? Because of our indifference, people took advantage of each other
without regard for moral integrity or ethics.

As Filipinos, we should have a good understanding (if not complete

understanding) of the Constitution because it is the foundation or framework for how our
country should be run (type of governance, laws that will govern our nation, territorial
rights, and so forth). We should have at least a minimum so that we can recognize
when people misuse us as a nation, whether from within or without, or if we are trying to
step on others. The constitution should at the very bare minimum include the necessary
provisions that would govern how we should proceed as a nation. The constitution
serves as the foundation for all law. To understand Philippine law, whether as a lawyer,
police officer, politician, or ordinary citizen, knowledge of the constitution is required.
The constitution, for example, states that we practice republican democracy. Without
recognizing it, we may be welcoming Communism back into our country as a powerful
nation.
