SUBJECT: ELECTRONIC SERVICE TOOL (EST) SOFTWARE UPDATE
- VERSION 9.2.0.0

DESCRIPTION

The information in this Service Bulletin is to inform you that the Electronic Service Tool (EST) version 9.2.0.0 includes
several changes and new features to increase the functionality of the base EST software.

These changes and new features include the following:

• DPA5 firmware – K-line Communication stability
• EASy tool version 15.1 - MD1 controller support
• New minimum PC specifications
• DATAR Diagnostic software moved to the EST Update tool
• ISM IDI tool version 2019B software

DPA5 Firmware – K-line Communication

New DPA5 firmware improves communication with K-line engine controllers.

EASy Tool 15.1 – MD1 Support

EASy version 15.1 incorporates repairs for the following:
• Active diagnostics for MD1 controllers
• 500 kB communication
• EDC17CV41 improvements
• EDC17C49 improvements
• EDC7UC31 improvements

New minimum PC specifications
EST 9.2.0.0 and EASY version 15.1 requires an update to the minimum required specifications.

All computers must use a 64bit version of their operating system. The older 32bit options are limited to 4 gigabytes
of RAM, and cannot provide enough performance to run these programs.

Refer to the following table for the minimum specifications:

DATAR tool installation in EST Update Tool

The DATAR diagnostic software installation has been
moved to the EST Update tool.

ISM IDI tool version 2019B
A new version of the ISM IDI tool, 2019B, is replacing the current version, 2016A. This version is being released
to stay current with Windows updates, which can cause the 2016A version to not work correctly. The links in the
EST9200 software will not launch the 2016A version. Technicians will need to install 2019B for the links in EST to
open the ISM IDI tool properly.

Refer to SERVICE BULLETIN (-H.10.A.10) “ISM Indirect Injection (IDI) Service Tool version 2019B” for further
instructions on the installation of the software on a PC.
