Cirrus Perspective Database Updates

Overview

• This presentation will guide you through the scheduled

updates for your Cirrus Perspective avionics system.

• When updating your subscriptions, do not erase any files

from any of the SD cards.

• Refer to your delivery documents for your Jeppesen

username and password.

 Updating SafeTaxi

• Plug in the PFD bottom card.

• Double click on the SafeTaxi update.
• Click Yes to confirm.
• The software should automatically detect the GARMIN card. If it does not, click
Browse and select it.

• Click Continue to program the card.

 Updating SafeTaxi

• Remove the PFD bottom card, and plug in the MFD bottom card.
• Double click on the SafeTaxi update.
• Click Yes to confirm.
• The software should automatically detect the GARMIN card. If it does not, click
Browse and select it.

• Click Continue to program the card.

 Updating SafeTaxi
• Place the PFD Bottom and MFD Bottom cards back in their respective slots.
• You're done! The subscription will automatically be verified when the batteries
are turned on.

 Updating Obstacles

• Plug in the PFD bottom card.

• Double click on the Obstacles update.
• Click Yes to confirm.
• The software should automatically detect the GARMIN card. If it does not, click
Browse and select it.

• Click Continue to program the card.

• Remove the PFD bottom card, and plug in the MFD bottom card.
• Double click on the Obstacles update.
• Click Yes to confirm.
• The software should automatically detect the GARMIN card. If it does not, click
Browse and select it.

• Click Continue to program the card.

 Updating Obstacles
• Place the PFD Bottom and MFD Bottom cards back in their respective slots.
• You're done! The subscription will automatically be verified when the batteries
are turned on.

 Updating the NavData

• Plug in the NavData SD card.

• Double click on the current NavData update.
• Click Yes to confirm.
• If the software does not automatically detect the SD card, click on Browse and
select it.

• Click Continue to program the card.

• When the update is complete, remove the NavData card.

 Updating Your Aircraft
• Insert the NavData card in the top PFD slot.
• Turn on both batteries.

• The PFD will prompt you to update the STANDBY NAVIGATION
DATABASE. Select NO on the bottom right corner of the screen.
 Updating Your Aircraft
• Next, the PFD will prompt you to update the ACTIVE NAVIGATION
DATABASE. Select YES on the bottom right corner of the screen.

• When the update is finished, turn both batteries off.
• Remove the NavData card from the top PFD slot.

• Remove the top MFD card (data logger).

• Insert the NavData card in the top MFD slot.
• Turn on both batteries.

• The MFD will prompt you to update the STANDBY NAVIGATION
DATABASE. Select NO on the bottom right corner of the screen.

• Next, the MFD will prompt you to update the ACTIVE NAVIGATION
DATABASE. Select YES on the bottom right corner of the screen.

• When the update is finished, turn both batteries off.
• Remove the NavData card from the top PFD slot.
• Insert the MFD top card back into the top MFD slot.
