the thematic analysis is entirely done using
computer software, then it will be hard for the
researcher to connect the themes with the context
the themes originated from. Second, computer-
assisted thematic analysis can potentially ignore
important themes within the data (Lee et al., 2018).
Considering these two weaknesses, the researcher
must be in charge of the thematic analysis to ensure
deep sense-making of the data.
2 EVALUASI DAN STRATEGI Meski belum ada penelitian sejenis di sekolah
PENGEMBANGAN SMA tersebut, namun penelitian ini muncul atas dasar

menimbulkan kegelisahan dan kekhawatiran.
Berikut gambaran siswa yang mendaftar di SMA
INS Kayutanam. Berdasarkan Gambar 1 terlihat
SMA INS Kayutaman kekurangan siswa dan
dikhawatirkan tahun demi tahun akan berkurang.
Sehingga INS Kayutanam perlu dievaluasi yang
menyeluruh atau komprehensif. Hal tersebut perlu,
agar diketahui komponen-komponen mana yang
belum berjalan menurut semestinya agar bisa dite-
mukan strategi pengembangan SMA INS
Kayutanam ke depan.
Seiring dengan perjalanannya SMA Metode penelitian yang digunakan
INDONESISCH NERDERLANDSCHE SCHOOL untuk evaluasi SMA INS
(INS) KAYUTANAM mengikuti kebijakan yang Kayutanam adalah kuantitatif,
ada yaitu harus menentukan pilihan SMP atau kemudian untuk strategi
SMA. Akhirnya, lembaga ini dibagi menjadi dua pengembangan menggunakan

Kayutanam ini dinyatakam secara umum strategi
pengembangan SMA INS Kayutanam dapat
dirangkum sebagai berikut: (1) perumusan
kurikulum terintegrasi yang memuat tujuan dan
sasaran pendidikan Sjafei; (2) perumusan metode
mengajar yang sesuai dengan tujuan dan sasaran
pendidikan Sjafei; (3) pengelolaan aset produktif
dengan pemanfaatan modal sosial; (4) pemanfaatan
basis alumni. (5) membangun kerja sama dengan
instansi ter- kait seperti sekolah lain, pemerintah
daerah, dan pihak swasta.
