ALL ABOUT FIGURE-IT-OUT!
FIGURE-IT-OUT is a game based on the popular brainteaser "Rebus Puzzle." This game,
like many others, use images or words to communicate a statement or message. Furthermore,
Figure-it-Out are words and figures that are represented visually by images or symbols. You may
find rebus rhymes, stories, and puzzles, which requires an individual to understand a phrase or
sentence by using strategically arranged letters, numbers, images, and symbols to decipher the
message. In most cases, a well-known idiom or word, as in the case of this game, is utilized.
Making a note of and becoming familiar with the word placement, font size, color, and quantity
will thus help you and the other players in their problem-solving process.
Moreover, Figure-it-out, as the name implies, will use some diverse figures such as shapes
and forms to be a component of the problem itself, in addition to the use of jumbled letters and
words. Furthermore, the message that must be identified and signified has a connection to the
subject that will be provided by the hosts.
OBJECTIVES
 To increase the quantity of brain activity.
 To create a sense of accomplishment and emotional satisfaction in oneself through
completing the assigned tasks.
 To enhance one memory and other cognitive abilities, such as the capacity to process
information fast.
HOW TO PLAY THE GAME?
A category, answer boxes, and a succession of picture (figure) hints comprise each Figure-
it-Out puzzle. The category gives a general idea of the type of answer you're looking for (person,
phrase, thing etc.). The answer boxes enumerate the word or words in the answer - one letter per
box. The visual hints are the puzzle's main attraction. Each picture, letter, and figure symbolizes a
message and a sound, and when the sounds are combined in the correct order, they make the correct
answer.
Another one is when solving the puzzle, think of the words as objects rather than as words.
Remember how the words (objects) have changed throughout the story. Is it written on the page in
small or huge letters? Is it written vertically upwards or horizontally downwards? Is one word
positioned above or below another? Is one word a synonym for the other? Is there a limit to how
many times a word can be repeated? All of these observations will provide you suggestions as to
the meaning of the rebus puzzle.

DID YOU KNOW?

Several studies have revealed that brainteasers are a good way to "stretch" your brain and
improve your overall cognitive function. Despite the fact that some researchers have discovered a
correlation between reasoning exercises (such as calculating the next number or word in a series)
and greater cognitive function, a 2010 study published in the journal "Nature" found no link
between brainteasers and higher brainpower. According to the study, participants improved on the
specific brainteaser, but such improvements did not translate into improved performance on
everyday cognitive tasks such as remembering one's grocery list.
