Different impact of technologies: DIGITAL NATIONS DOCUMENTARY

The documentary's focus is on the influence of digital technology in people's

multitasking, as well as the impact of virtual reality. It takes a stand on the

influence of digital technology on the lives of today's youth. Examine if technology

improves learning or, on the contrary, provides methods to annoy students and

squander numerous possibilities. They worry that unless actions are done, it will

have a long-term influence on how future generations think and conduct, but they

never get specific about the consequences or what steps should be taken to avert

them.

When you watch the documentary, you will notice that it tries to convince

people that multitasking is not good for humanity and that digital media is

extremely important to this generation because we are immersed in technology and

accept the reality that schools and other places use digital technologies in

everything. It has a significant impact, especially since its target audience is the

new generation of teenagers.

There is always a gain and a loss in technology because every modern

technology gives and takes away something simultaneously. We are adapting and

learning to cope but there will always be some problems we will encounter before

getting to learn something. We cannot say that technology can only give distraction
because concern about technology as a distraction is not a new issue, yet we

survive every era of technology as time goes on.

However, we cannot deny that the distraction induced by technology is

becoming more severe with each passing era. Like the students' multitasking work

in the documentary, everything they do includes working on other phones and

attempting to multitask work and their social lives. We cannot dispute that digital

has had such an influence on people's lives that we cannot disregard those who

wonder how new generations can find focus on a certain activity, which may be

extremely tough for them since they cannot accomplish anything on time while

doing new things.

I can't speak for anyone else about whether we are better now or before

because everyone has a different perspective or insight on every issue, but I believe

we are better off now because technology is so accessible that with a single click of

the "enter" button, you can access anything you want to open rather than being in

the past era where there is information poverty. We cannot deny that the past era

was poor when it came to accessing information, just like my grandmother told me

when I was younger.

Overall, the documentary shows us that technology can be very harmful if

we do not use it correctly. Multitasking can be difficult, especially if you are a

student like me, and it may cause harm as well as virtual games. The roles of

computers and technology in education tell us that we must accept the fact that we

cannot eliminate digital things from our lives at this time.
