FUTURE TREND:

INTERNET TO THE WHOLE WORLD

BY: CARLA MAE A. CAPAROS
• We can’t seem to live without the internet but still only around half the world’s
population is connected.

• There are many reasons for this, including economic and social reasons, but for
some the internet just isn’t accessible because they have no connection.
Why Internet access is so important for
everyone ?
• For those fortunate enough to have meaningful connectivity, the internet
provides a crucial link to information that helps us keep our families healthy
and safe during this global health crisis. With social distancing measures the
new norm across the globe, we are living our lives online.

• The internet supports development by transforming a younger generation’s

ability to acquire knowledge and skills and contribute productively to national
growth. It can also help an ageing population to remain active and access cost-
effective health care.
But How Will it Work?

• Delivering broadband over such a network faces significant challenges in design,

deployment and operation of such a global infrastructure. It must also make sure it’s
affordable for those from economically disadvantaged or remotely located regions.

• A large constellation of satellites requires agile and cost-effective backhaul

technology to provide interconnections between the satellites to form an extension
to the internet. Backhaul refers to the links or network required between satellites
and the internet to provide customers with internet access.

• The current cost of satellite-based broadband access may only be within the reach
of those living in rural communities of developed countries and for emergency.
Why this idea could be a
trend in the future?
• Because it will revolutionize the world and lead to groundbreaking
changes in our Communication, Education, Business, Marketing, and
even in Research.
The Internet and
Communication
• Internet platforms and services are providing easy and seamless ways for
people to stay socially connected while physically apart, creating new
avenues to help people in need, fostering scientific research and
innovation, helping keep people to be informed specially during this
COVID-19 pandemic.
The Internet and
Education
• Internet plays a very vital role in education. The Internet provides great
opportunities to improve the quality of education. New ways of teaching
and learning, better access to a much wider range of information and
resources, new skills for the digital age: all these can transform lives,
helping to achieve education for all and other Sustainable Development
Goals
The Internet
and Business
• The Internet is providing great benefits for business
communication. And the easiest way for a business to connect
with customers and clients.
The and Marketing
• Online marketing is important not just because it helps you to get
found online, but also because it can change the way your business is
perceived by potential customers.
The Internet and Research
• Internet research can provide quick, immediate, and worldwide
access to information, although results may be affected by
unrecognized bias, difficulties in verifying a writer’s credentials (and
therefore the accuracy or pertinence of the information obtained) and
whether the searcher has sufficient skill to draw meaningful results
REMEMBER:

The internet has already changed the world, but the big
changes that the Internet will bring still lie ahead and its
history has just begun.
