CRITERIA D – EVALUATING
REQUIREMENTS: Students are to evaluate the effectiveness of the design solution
using a wide range of tests against the requirements of the design specification

1. DESIGN A RELEVANT TESTING METHOD

●     Testing Method (Methods may include user observation, where users view
your collage album and comment based on the questions you have prepared /or
comparison tests where you compare your collage album to another product and
evaluate the strengths and weaknesses.)

●     Justify Relevance of Method (If using the user observation method, why
should users observe your solution?/ If using the comparison method, why
compare your solution with other products)

2. EVALUATE THE SUCCESS OF THE SOLUTION (After consulting three users,

summarize the results of testing in the table below)

1. EXPLAIN HOW THE SOLUTION MIGHT BE IMPROVED (Students should

outline the weaknesses identified in your solution and explain how it can be
improved.)

WEAKNESSES IMPROVEMENT

2.

3.

4. EXPLAIN THE IMPACT OF THE SOLUTION (How does your solution improve the
target audience’s situation? Did your solution meet the expectations stated in your
design brief? Are there any negative effects this solution could have?)
