It is submitted that total sanctioned strength of reserve stock of
stone in Gujranwala Division UCC is 2.50 Lac Cft whereas only 0.83 Lac Cft
stone is available at site against the minimum strength of stone required at
site to be 1.42 Lac Cft.
The tentative cost of procurement of stone at reserve stock
worked out to be 4.555 Million.
It is therefore requested that, an amount of Rs. 4.555 Million

ASSISTANCE.
It is stated that as per instruction issued by Finance

Department relating to the maintenance of financial discipline during 2009-
10, the payment relating to the contingencies head of Account was to be
finalized upto 18.06.2010 and that of work was affixed as 25.06.2010. The
bill relating to the above mentioned grant of the official Muhammad Sharif
S/O Khair Din (Late) Canal Patwari was prepared and out to District
Account Officer, Gujranwala as the grant received late on 17.06.2010. But
the District Accounts Officer, Gujranwala denied to entertain the bill due to
the late receipt of bill / grant. Hence the grant received in this account has
lapsed for which the department is not at fault.
It is therefore, requested that the concerned department may
very kindly be approached for the release of the grant so that family of the
deceased may not suffer and can be saved from facing any hardship.

Gulzar Enterprises falling in the category C succeeded in winning the
subject cited work. However due to ambiguity of financial limitation of
C-Class, the work in question was declared as cancelled vide Chief
Engineer, Irrigation Lahore Zone, letter No. WII/LHR/2011/4539/7/2008
dated 14.03.2011. It is hereby clarified that according to the Pakistan
Engineering Council Notification dated 12.07.2007, the lowest financial ebb
of C-Class stand at a limit of 10.00 Million. Hence the subject cited work
falls within the competency of contractor being C-Class enlisted.
It is therefore requested that approval may please be accorded
from the competent authority for awarding the acceptance against subject
cited work at the earliest.
