Planned Parenthood Supports Trans-Inclusive

Healthcare with Online Panel

Posted by Kara Fedurek on Feb. 8, 2022

Planned Parenthood is hosting a virtual panel on transgender inclusive healthcare on February 10

from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. CST. The event is free and open to anyone; however, the discussion is
aimed at medical students and health care professionals.

During the panel, medical experts will provide their perspectives on how to give transgender
patients better medical care. Planned Parenthood hopes that understanding the transgender
experience will greatly benefit medical professionals when it comes to providing for transgender
patients.

The panel will feature medical students from the University of South Dakota Sanford School of
Medicine, the University of North Dakota School of Medicine, the University of Minnesota Med
Students for Choice and the Mayo Med Students for Choice. Additionally, medical expects from
the Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota Planned Parenthood Action Funds will attend the
panel.
