Why will the Chile Burger become a “best seller”?
I think this would be a best seller because it would go further than the regular burger
with green chile because it enhances the burger with more flavor and more opportunity
for getting those popular flavors that the population in New Mexico loves so much. I
think in terms of being careful with money we should start the burger as a trial run or
a limited time only item. If at the end of a couple months we have had a good amount of
sales for the product, then we can make the decision to add it as a long term menu
item.
What is the recommended retail price?
I think the price should be anywhere from $8.50-11. After looking at other menus I
think this price range would be good and fair. I also think that this is a fair choice for a
price. Along with my ideas for marketing this burger I think that price range is pretty
accurate. I also thought about the ingredients and what they would probably cost per
burger and how I can create a fair price but still make money.
Demographics
In New Mexico the main demographic are white but hispanic, many of which have
background or ancestors from Mexico. This is why the food in New Mexico is so heavily
influenced by Mexican culture. Overall there is very little diversity in New Mexico, the
main ethnicity is white (hispanic), or white (non-hispanic). The African American
population is very low in New Mexico around three percent of the population is African
American. Many of the food there leans towards Mexican culture because of the
hispanic ethnicity that populates New Mexico.A lot of tastes in New Mexico include a lot
of spices and flavor, hence the green chile in the burger. The tastes come from the
influence of the hispanic culture
Why this Burger will beat out the competition
I believe my burger would be better than the other burgers because it's an innovation
to a burger that is so popular in New Mexico. I believe that this would build my brand
and make more people realize that our burgers are the best and we are noticing the
trends of what our customers like and want and using that to create more products.
